1. Why people attend college?
People attend college or university for many different reasons (for example, new experiences, career preparation, increased knowledge). Why do you think people attend college or university? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Why people attend college?

As is known to us, although many high school students have the opportunities to directly begin their career, most of them, however, decide to further their education. Why people prefer going university to finding jobs? They attend college to obtain specialized techniques in order to get fatter salaries, and more chances in the sharply competitive society.

Before attending college, students have a limited opportunity to gain professional technologies. After obtaining a specific college degree, a job candidate can become increasingly competitive for previously unavailable jobs. For instance, applicants with Computer Science degrees would not only be qualified for software engineer, they would also be well prepared for any job which needs computer skills as a requirement. Having quite a lot of specialized knowledge, diploma holders are more likely to find a job that matches their individual tastes and interests.

Additionally, companies are willing to pay a premium for highly qualified employees. For example, many companies desire employees who are a master of more than one language and offer higher salaries to attract them. A prestigious university's diplomas may offer a job applicant higher salaries. Even if a job applicant without a college degree has high interview test scores, employers may still place a higher value on an applicant with similar test scores who also possesses credentials from a well-known college.  The reason is, to some extent, a college degree is generally accepted by employers as proof of ability in a given field.

In addition to the higher salaries, a college degree provides more opportunities. After graduating from the college, a student can find himself a promising job in a company. Alternatively, he can follow his profession to do some scientific researches in a lab after graduation. Unfortunately, both of these promising avenues would be unavailable without taking the first step of an undergraduate degree.

To be brief, college will brings us a lot. A person, who lacks of the college experiences, may not only lose the experience itself, but also lose all his life.

First of all, high education makes difference for career development. Additionally, high education brings about many good oppotunities for students. Companies are willing to pay a premium for highly qualified employees. For example, many companies desire employees who are a master of more than one language and offer higher salaries to attract them. A prestigious university's diplomas may offer a job applicant higher salaries. Last, you have more chance to know intiligents and make friends with youth at your age. And universwity also gave your cahnce to show your versitile talents like singing, dance, sports. The friends you make during college life may stand at various vocations years and they may become force to assist your development.

College education is not free lunch. You have to pay high tuition. However the benefits it brings overweight the cost you pay. Therefore, you are more likely to choose to go to college.
