Science looks like a locomobile rolling day after day, and we are the boys and girls running with it, obviously, fail to simulate up to it although we have strived to. To be worse, the pressure on the job-seeking is increasing dramatically meanwhile. Under such a grandiose press, a tendency occurred in universities that provide more and more courses on students' major, wholly ignoring the intrinsic demand for aesthetics, health, and communication of students. Many campus criminations appear in campuses. Declaration for true and comprehensive education overwhelms. Naturally, courses on major are far least to ensure a round and true education as some courses may be need of everyone, no matter which courses him or her take.
Fine art, music and sculpture and other art categories are valuable treasure of spiritual culture for our total world and it apparently helps upheaves the character of us. For example, Da Vinci’s outstanding portrait Mona Lisa, the most famous showing available at today's world, Michelangelo's excellent sculpture David, Beethoven's classic composition No5 self-resistance Symphony, and Chopin's special quiet piano music Nocturn, all are glaring pearls of human thought and intelligence. University adopt those courses on them ensure its students to learn what, where is beauty and how to appreciate, create it. Beauty is the nurture of human life and soul, without it the world will be a slippery world not deserved us to live. To ultimate aims of education is to nurture a batch of people full of spirit and mind, as to built a more appropriate heaven for us living in. A major-dominant education is insufficient since the students under it will be someone like a machine lacking art character.
The history showed the road map which shaped where we are and we learn history to confront the future and potential challenges. A true education should tell us how to confront the future and potential challenge. As a old says going, "Those who don't learn from history will doom into repeat it." In the long river of human evolution and development, a myriad of success and failure appeared. Retrospecting to the past can provide us a more possible way to win, to avoid mistakes.
