issue130   How children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. Unfortunately, we have not yet learned how to raise children who can help bring about a better society.
提纲：
1）  赞成孩子决定社会的未来，不同意后半句
2）  未来不可知不可预测，所以无法具体批判better society；只要发展的，就是BETTER的
3）  谈论how to raise children
   从社会对孩子的积极影响看socialize
   从当前的教育体制里的通才教育与专才教育来看
4）   补充的说，一些问题不能忽略，如拜金主义，专业的不理智选择，孩子的自我意识太强
5）    小结，社会的发展、对孩子教育应该是一个“扬弃”的过程


I am always conceding that the society is made up of people, no matter the old or the young. So, the children socialized today will grow into adult in future and steer the direction of development of society. However, I can't agree with the latter assertion of the speaker. At least I believe that we have already held the means to raise children who can make the society shining in future.

Admittedly, the future of society is unknown and unpremitted. Thus there is never a persuadable standard to judge whether the further society is better than the one now days, as more and more citizen have disgusted the modern life but admire the fresh air and unpolluted vegetables in the suburb. In my opinion, if the society is developing actively, it just approaches to a better trend. And fortunately, the society we own now is accord with what I have claimed and is influencing and acting on the young positively.

First of all, the new generation is born in the world with excellent traditions and circumstances. Though the news of violence and pollution is constant appearing in our view, the anti-violent campaigns and environmental protections get the same attention on the media. That is human have realized the problems in time and are trying our best to solve therefore a high-technology civilization is not a dream any more. What's more, for the concept of cooperation is wide spread and highly emphasized, the globalism is becoming popular and tends to be the main gnaunt of our age, which will accumulate the interaction of different cultures and speed up the progress of technology. Such advanced aspects become the natural treasures for the new generation. Meanwhile, the best teachers of the kids--their parents --are acting their behaviour and mind by their personal examples as well as verbal instructions. More and more parents are consciously receiving trainings and actively cultivating their kids the spirits of working-hard, independence and so on.

And one other thing we can't ignore is the current education system, which is the combination of general and specific teachings. On one hand, we get touch with various subjects in the primary and high schools, which make the young grasp a big bunch of both scientific and literae sources, build up the basis of their essential characters and mature their minds. After the studies of such systemic trainings, one has get hold of the ability to realize his talents and could reasonable and responsible make up which major he will dedicate himself into. Then he can meet his interests in the colleges, which is the place to dig out one's potentancy. Hence, it is possible for one to make his best contributions to the society.

However, every coin has its two aspects. The too-fast speed of ecnomic increasing has lead to some distorting thoughts, such like the adoring to money and the reasonless rush to the famous universities. There is a research that compared with 20 percent in the old days, nearly 95 of nowdays chinese children used to show off the cusums. And considering that a welcome jobs may bring about fames and incomes more easily, lots of freshmen betray their interests but focus on the so-called pop majors. What's worse, as the policy of one child carried out, the new generation are becoming too self-central to coordinate the relationship around them, which is the obvious phenomenon existing in campus.

To draw the conclusion, the current society should keep its development in a proper and balanced pace, which equals to containing the positive tradition, absorbing the advanced conception and giving up the negative or impedent aspects, not just only for the young, but also for itself.
