99"In any realm of life—whether academic, social, business, or political—the only way to succeed is to take a practical, rather than an idealistic, point of view. Pragmatic behavior guarantees survival, whereas idealistic views tend to be superseded by simpler, more immediate options."
The speaker maintains the contention that if one in any realm of life wants to succeed, the only way is to take a practical point of view, rather than an idealistic one. In fact, I fundamentally agree with the notion that pragmatic behavior and thinking is important in the pursuing way of success and at least guarantees survival. Beyond the concession, however, idealistic views are also essential to seek for greatness in one’s life. And, the usefulness of practicality or ideality also depends on a case-by-case basic that which realm of research the individual works.
   First of all, in any areas of studying or working, pragmatic opinions play a significant role in the successful path. In educational experience, students should take every firm step to the knowledge that they can master their major usefully. In business world, majority of businessmen have taken a great amount of efforts in market research and in planning most effective running mechanism of their corporations all of which need a pragmatic prospective and thinking system, as well as a plethora of practical prepare works. These individuals just like builders are erecting tall buildings owning themselves, which all need a strong firm basic of the building constituting with the real practical efforts.
   But in another sense, idealistic views are also crucial in some areas searching, such as arts and writers. For artists, inspiration is most important than the work itself. A good surprising creative idea often conjures up in an immediate option, but it is so valuable for a great work. And for writers, it is the most important factor in creating of novels, especially fantastic novels. After all, a famous literary work’s value always focuses on the plot or the creativity while the author’s skills are often the basic not the point catching the audiences’ attention. Also like the mansion’s builder who wants to build a grandiose and brilliant palace, should plan his or her building on the paper using one’s own innovation and illusion, or even fantasy, and then consider the impossible constructions. Then a great work absorbing both practicality and fantasy are established successfully.
   On balance, both pragmatism and idealism are meaningful for our human beings everyday lives in a variety of devoting world. In the way of study, we never give up our right our dream and fantasy. Compared with the all expected pragmatic issues, the true objectives are to exploit the unknown world as well as the real value of our human’s continual work and efforts lies on creating an idealistic world.
   To sum up, in the final analysis, it is true that the speaker’s assertion has somewhat merits in admitting that the pragmatic views and behaviors ensure our human survival and path to succeed. However, at the same time, the speaker wrongly denies the idealistic opinions’ positive effects in great artistic creating, not just simple and immediate options. Moreover, in many areas of work, incorporating the two styles of thinking aptly and timely might break out inspiring sparkles of unexpected originality.
