1 不同意作者的话。重申：要深化知识，实践比理论更主要
2 书本的内容是在实践的基础上概括抽象得来的
  书本仅是为了保存已有的知识并将之传承给下一代而存在的，也就是它所包含的东西起码是人类已知的  
  实践是为了解决实际问题而存在的，而其触及的范围多数是未知的，从而为发现并解决问题提供了条件，从而为拓宽知识的宽度和广度提供了可能性和前提。  
例子：在盖茨发面windows之前，可曾有哪本书有关于可视化操作系统这个概念？
3 书本的知识具有时限性，高度概括性，但是许多具体的问题它阐述的也许并不详细或者受时代的限制而不对
  如马克思所说，没有绝对的真理只有相对的真理；实践是检验真理的唯一标准
  所以不同时代的实践的检验，可以改正不合适的知识，发展已有的知识，深化并创造新的知识
例子：对于原子的理解(查)；对西红柿的认识；哥伦布
4 但是也不能仅仅强调实践而忽视理论，书本具有指导实践的作用，人们就是通过不断的学习并应用书本上的知识来认识世界改造世界的
例子: 为什么做出发明创造的总是教授们而不是工人，因为教授是在掌握正确的理论知识的基础上进行了创新并使之应用到实践，而工人缺少理论性的指导
5 正确的深化知识的过程，应该是二者的结合
  实践与理论相结合，才是最佳深化知识的途径



I can't agree with the speaker's assertion. To deepen the knowledge, I prefer practice as more useful. And there are some　sound reasons below to support my opinion.

First of all, the contexts of books come from practice presenting in a more abstract form. Books are more treated as an method to store the existing knowledge and pass them to the following generations.Thus what it contains is already known to the human beings. On the contrary, the practice exits to solve the worldly problems which are usually unfamiliar or untouched to the researchers. Thereby, the different contents of them determine that practice provides the possibility and precondition to discover new fields that may broaden and deepen the current knowings. For example, before BillGate created windows, has any book mentioned the cincept of visualizaion operation system? And relying on hard working and his talents, Bill's windows has not only brought him numerous wealth, but also made up a revolution in the IT field.

Meanwhile, as concluded and abstracted from the abundant practice, the books are sure to ignore some specific ones, which are only observed in the practice. History tells us that lots of great discoveries and inventions originated in the specific phenimena, such as yuanlongping, who is the father of hybird rice and gets the inspiration only by a bunch of common rice. The specific phenomena arouse the interests of scientists and contribute to rich the depth of knowledge.

What's more, the knowledge in books is limited by the age. As Marx has said that there are never the absolute truth but only the comparative truth in the world. As we all know that practice is the only method to examinate theory, different eras have different judging standards, and the development of science and technology leads to various practice ways. In the ancient, people undoubtly thought that the form of earth is flat, and such understanding was inherited by thousands of their offsprings. Then with the technology of boat-making and navigation, Columbus proved the earth to be square with his famous voyage. And the history of tomatoes is more legend. In the beginning when it's doscovered, people just treated it as a ornamental plant with beautiful appearance but poisonous. And coinsidely, when a ciminal was sentenced to death, the curiousity drove him to taste the food as the result was the same. Then, as we can guess, he saved and the taste-good vegetable is wide-spred in the world. From the above states, it's nature for us to place  practice at a more important pot at the process of deepening the knowledge.

However, focusing too much on practice would merely obstacle the development of knowledge. Books play the directing role in the learning of knowledge. Human realize the truth and react on the world by constant learning from books. That's why professors and workers are equally working, but the vast contribution almost made by the professors, as workers lack the systomtic direction of theory from books.

To sum up, a ideal way to deepen one's knowledge should combine the use of books on the basis of practice and the practice to check the theory, both of which would make the depth of knowledge richer and broader.
