What are some of the qualities of a good parent? Use specific details and examples to explain your answer.

After one is born to the world, the first few years in his/her life will be spent with parents. Most of the first skills in one’s life, which may have far-reaching affection to his/her life, are learned from parents. Therefore, parents’ behaviors may influence the children greatly. It is believed that parents who have some good qualities can serve a good example to their children, help them to become outstanding and achieve success after they grow up. In my opinion, there are three important characters that can decide whether a parent is good or not.
First of all, the most important quality of a good parent is love. Everyone wants to be loved, especially for the children, who needs more affection than the grown up. If children can feel love from their parents, they can grow in peaceful and relaxed environment which is helpful in cultivating them to be optimistic and open-minded human beings. On the contrary, a child grow in the unloving family will become nervous and scared; this discomforting family can cause adverse effects on the child which is harmful to the child’s future development. And there has been lots of news show that accomplished people always grow in the family replete with love.         
Moreover, a good parent should have the quality of trust. If the parents always prying into children’s privacy, the children may think that their parents do not trust them, which may leads to children’s dishonesty. Also, trust is a good way to foster children’s independence. When children are trusted, they will perceive the pressure to keep that trust, and therefore act honestly. Therefore, Trust will cultivate them to make wise decisions, which will allow them to grow in to independent adults.
What’s more, responsibility is also essential to a good parent. After a child was born, he/she will spend the first few years in his/her life with parents, and will do most of his/her first thing in life following parent’s guide. Therefore, parent affect the child life greatly and may serves as a designer to the child’s life, a parent should take the responsibility to make careful blueprint for the child. So, if a person ready to become a parent, he/she must take the responsibility for the child.
In conclusion, a good parent should at least have the three keys traits mentioned above. Without these attributes, a child may have more difficulties in growing up to a successful one. One must take the job of parenting by harnessing the above mentioned qualities to ensure the child’s healthy development.
