In an era of rapid progress leading to great advance in human society, great changes in social customs and ethics has already taken place. From such process, we'll clearly find that how technology have a decisive influence on outer appearance of our moral systems. However, the connotation of them is seldom changed by technology.
   Firstly, the development of technology changes the relationship between individuals, which calls for a adaptation in customs and ethics. For example, when in ancient China, it's the customs to favor boys rather girls. Meanwhile, it is commonly considered quite immoral for widow to marry another man again, keeping unmarried for her dead husband will be highly appraised, what's more however, in modern society, divorces and remarriages are quite common around us and women have started to appear in some leadership. The advance in technology enables woman to do more productive and creative work than merely embroidery and housework. Compared with men, the relatively advantage of patience and care makes women more competitive when searching for jobs. Technology changes the status of women, then the relationship between men and women, and finally decide a change in the customs and ethnics
   Secondly, the improvement of technology will bring in some new concepts, which will in turn cause some changes in customs and ethnics. To witness, Take, the introduction of Internet, for an example. No epoch before has seen such sharp changes brought by technology : the traditional customs to send cards at Christmas has been sometimes replaced by the e-cards that sent by the Internet and read before the screen, and the traditional meaning of love has been renewed to include the phenomenon of loving thought Internet, which add much to our ethics. What’s more, The impending of human cloning technique has raised sharp arguments about morality and ethics. All of these cases follow the same rule: firstly technology brought in new concepts which change our life greatly, then fierce disagreement with the current system of ethics and customs raises, and finally the changes drove by technology decides an adaptation.
  In the two respects above, we can clearly find the pivotal role technology played. However, if we agree the innate functions of customs and ethnics are regulating individuals for a society of virtue and kindness, efficiency and progress, harmony and peace, we'll find that technology just shaped the outer appearances of them, the connotation of ethic and customs remained unchanged. In the example that cited above, although the technology of Internet brought about great changes-such as the so-called loving through Internet-in customs and ethics, the new kinds of love still require seriousness, the new systems of morality still require credit and kindness; the new virtual world still respect virtue. Therefore, the adaptation of ethics and customs, no matter spontaneously or deliberately, is still aimed at the same purpose that lead our man kind to a brighter future, in which technology has little influence.
  To sum up, technology has a decisive influence on outer appearance of our moral systems. However, the innate functions of them-regulating individuals for a society of virtue and kindness, efficiency and progress, harmony and peace-is seldom changed by technology.

总体的结构还不错，主要问题是例子多但缺少分析。特别是关于技术如何决定风俗没有能做出合理的分析，比如那个ecard，因为它节约成本，节约时间，环保，所以现在人们普遍采用它，如此社会风俗改变了，这样是不是比单纯的说人们有了网络就放弃风俗来的深入呢？例子少点，多分析下，效果会更好。
