In this statement, the arguer ecomend that all teacher in state of Attra should assign homework no more than twice a week, if at all. In arder to support his or her recommendation, the aruer cites a decent statewide survey of hih shool math and teachers showing that daily homework is useless. In addition, the arguer points out that In district if Scanlee where 86 percent of the teaches reported assinging homework threeto five times aweek, students earn worse grade than the students of state Marlee, where less  than 25 percent of the teachers reported assigning homework tree to five times a week. In my opinio, the argument is specious in several respects.

In the first place, the srguer falsely assumes that the viewpoint of the teachers of math and science apply to all teachers. However, the arguer fail to provide us with evidence to suport the assumption, which force us to coubt whether all teachers believe daily homework is useless. It is totally possible that the teachers of linguistic, art, humanaty and other discipline hold the opposit viewpoint. Untill the arguer provides creciable evidence indicating that the attitude of teachers of math and science apply to other teachers, he or she can not rely on the survey to make any sound recommendation.
In the second place, the fact that the students in district Sanlee earn better grade than the students in district Marlee is little indication that forer better than the latter. In fact, the result of examination need not speak of the performandce of students. It is totally possible that the examination of district Sanlee is much more difficult than the examination of district of Marleee. In that case, the students who earn a 60 may be perfors as well as the students in district morleewho earn 80.

In the second place, the arguer unfaily comparsition beteen the district of Sanlee and district of Marlee is only in the that other factors in the two districts are all similar, unfortunately, the arguer fail to provide us evidence to eupport the assmption. It is equally possible that the students are more smart than the stdents in district Sanlee,or the parents in district care more about the study of their children and immerse more effort to spervise them.
