Issue205【07-10G Superstar大帖】7.29 by Huaxinluob
Dose more access to information have positive on life-long learning, as the speaker asserts? I can partially agree,(感觉有点奇怪,我能部分同意,去掉CAN是不是好点?) for while I concede that new development in technology indeed facilitates our learning in numerous respects, in some cases it eventually hampers our process of learning.
Admittedly, in lots or(?是of 吧) circumstances our learning is significantly promoted by modern technology that makes various knowledge more accessible than before. And I will illustrate this change by talking about two different groups of people, the young and the adults.
First turn to young people. It is well accepted that learning is a life-long process that begins as soon as one is born, which is far early before one attends school to receive formal education. For example, most children in China go to school at about six, then the condition and quality of education of children in the six years varies significantly in different families. Children in upper classes may take advantages for they usually get access to more knowledge, advanced instrument such as computers and home tutors. But by virtue of modern development the situation can be changed. TV has become an important way of getting known, as TV goes into every family, it brings knowledge to every kid who need and desire to learn. Moreover, as computer becomes more affordable to most families, the gap between the condition of learning in the rich and the poor can been greatly narrowed. (为什么? 为什么电视有了他们的代沟就小了? 只能说他们拥有电视能更好的学习. 突然冒出这么一句,要解释下) From this consideration I think the claim has merit to our children.
To those who have already leaven school and taken jobs, more access to knowledge may also make their learning easier and spurs their desire and interest in learning. As to children, TV is also a effective way of learning for adults. For example, if one would like to learn some skills like gardening, repairing, and cooking, he/she do(does) not need to take those courses in community, but, instead, stay behind the TV. For those who like to learn to be more competitive in job markets or have a higher chance to be promoted, but at the same time being troubled by the busy work and heavy schedule, modern technology can solve this problem. With computers, one can chooses any knowledge and skill he/she need; learn at any time, any place, even during the lunch time in offices; and repeat any time as one like; any of which can not be achieved by attending courses. So the claim also has merit to adults.
However, there are some negative effects that more access to information brings to our learning. One is that sometimes TV and computer bring us too much information that we do not really need. Everyone has been trouble and annoyed by those endless ads in TV. And in TV and Internets we see too much disputes and debates about various social issues, which can not teach much and help us establish our own opinions. The other negative effect lies in the fact that much information is absolutely misleading and misguiding. Medias are often used by politicians and governments as a tool to make us form some false attitude toward other cultures and countries, which means that many knowledge and information we get are not true. (这个能在详细点吗? 比如举个例子) Then our learning makes little sense.
To sum up, the speakers assertion has merit both to young people and adults. But by claim that more access to information only has positive effects, the speaker ignores some negative influence that accompanies.
总体还是可以,有些细节可以在详细点.不要只说一句话,让读者自己去揣测. 可以说详细点,比如举个例子或在论述下~加油 :)
