为什么MIS的信息这么少

我找来找去没看见有稍微具体一点的MIS申请经验阿，感觉很郁闷……我们这个专业……有人知道哪有这种申请经验么？
我想08fall申请去美国继续读MIS的硕士，有没有好的program呢？请达人指点
我们专业几个学长有去CMU读MIS的，感觉哪个项目好贵，可是其他学校似乎又找不到这种管理和技术结合的项目了
不想一直搞技术的说，拜托了

呵呵，申请的人少原因还是比较简单嘛，毕竟现在申请PHD又需要全奖的人比较多。
MIS是热门专业，一般都是申请的自费MASTER，学费又贵，估计感兴趣的人就不那么多了。
MIS一般需要些工作经验比较好，要有相对强的商科和计算机综合背景，一般要求本科至少完成4门以上的计算机主干课学习，所以是不招收纯商学院的学生的。研究生阶段一般30个学分左右，计算机课程和商学院课程对半，学费昂贵。
至于申请，相对而言你做过的项目、工作经历还是比较重要的。文书相当重要。
PS: MIS的课程一般安排在晚上哦，因为大多数读这个专业的都是美国的在职MASTER，白天很多时间是空闲的，看你自己习惯不了哈～

at Carnegie Mellon University. it is famous at tough course schdule and crazy students -- MISMers
who are seemed never sleep.

You know you have been MISMimized when:

- Its 2:25AM and you think to yourself: "Cool! It's still early! Let
me go grab a snack!"
- You know that the basement snack machine vends the world's most
unappetizing crap, yet you still give it a shot anyways - because there is
nothing else around
- You guessed that the above statement was in reference to HBH
- You can leave your house without your wallet or your keys, but you

will run right back if you forgot your standard issue black IBM laptop
- You have napped on a lounge sofa in public view
- The letters "O", "C", "T", next to each other makes your cringe, yet

for the life of you, you can't remember what they stand for ("Organized
Continuous Torture"?)
- You picked up Hindi, Korean, Chinese, Thai and Spanish swear words,
but your English deteriorated
- You can whip up a very professional sounding 2-page memo without any

substantial content in under an hour
- You go to a bar with your friends, and you brag about the  "cool"
question you got from your Amazon interview
- Your friends and you proceed to spend the next hour discussing about

what would be the most optimal algorithm to the method Amazon asked you to
write
- You've cut a Telecomm. Class to do the Telecomm. Homework
- You wonder where all the Americans are
- You are a Carnegie Mellon student but you have no idea where or what

The Underground is
- You eat General Tso's Chicken at least once a week at either Lulu's,
Orient Express, or Asiana
- You have taken a trip to New York, but you have never been to the
Carnegie Museum next door

- You continue with meetings even if one of your teammates passes out
from sheer exhaustion. 15minutes to an hour later, he/she will rejoin the
meeting as if nothing happened.
- You socialize via MSN Messenger

- You got double booked and have hopped in and out and between two
meetings at the same time, many times
- You learnt never to bring up politics if you are in a room that
contained both Indians and Pakistanis

- The only food you have made for yourself in the past year had been
instant noodles and frozen foods
- Its 2:47AM and you curse yourself for spending the last hour
chatting, surfing the web, and reading random stuff. You should have

finished your final project paper, OCT homework, and studied for your
database exam tomorrow instead.
- You haven't slept in 36 hours
- You calculate that the next break you will get to take a nap will
only happen in about 18 hours

- You realize just how screwed and MISMized you are at 2:55AM, and
start working -- after emailing this to another poor MISMized soul
