agree or disagree: 20 years from now, students are no longer using the printed books. When it refers to future, the most controversial issue people will argue about is probably if there will be printed books or not, especially printed textbook. Some people claim that studying on line will be more proper than traditional ways, while others hold the negative attitude of it, for they suggest that printed books could not be replaced by anything. From my personal perspective, I will choose the latter as my inclination for the following reasons. Firstly, printed books have numerous advantages which couldn’t be replaced easily. For instance, you could write or scrawl on any place of the passage as soon as you want when you meet with difficulties or find what you have learned to share with others during preparing or reviewing for the course. While facing the E-books, the operating will only be more unconvenient but will also reduce the interesting. Furthermore, printed books are also safer to preserve than E-book, because if you put your books on your desk they will not fly away, however, the latter may be easily got lost when you forget where you locate the little disk on omnivorously or some unknown e-virus suddenly invade into your computer by line. And there are also other advantages printed books possess, which prove that we could not tolerate such life without printed books. Moreover, printed books own a so serious meaning to human being that we should never forget. Retrospecting the long human run of the whole world, printed books played as an important part to contribute to human culture in every walk of life. Since typographic came to birth firstly in China, the whole social development went much more rapidly, for all fields of knowledges spread soon and students could get educated much easier than before. Printed book have been really a efficient helper and honest friends for a long time, even in this era of the overwhelming popularity of electrizatrion, people still pay attention to them, then they will of course not be replaced by anything else in futre because they have their own charming characters which anything else do not has. In additonal, starring at a screen for a long time will make your eyes feel uncomfortable if paper books are completely instead by electronical ones. No one will deny that the radialization from the screen is harmful to one’s eyes, nerves and the whole body, even the liquid crystal display (LCD) screen. In modern times, we see too many children get poor eyesights which result from spending too much time with computers, and it is easy to imagine that there will be more and more glass wearing among students in no-paper times, with the high rate of teenages’ sudden death in front of an electronical texbook. All in all, from what we have discussed about, we may safely draw a conclusion that printed books will still play an indispensable and significant role in future education definitely, absolutely and undoubltly. |
