141"Most people recognize the benefits of individuality, but the fact is that     personal economic success requires conformity."
         
开始练习时的一个习作,没有限时。现在看看觉得自己的思路好像很没有深度。希望大家好好拍拍,一直在练,却没有人看。很粗糙,心里没底。

提纲:
1.       认为在开创一个事业的时候个性重要,但在一个成熟有一定规模的事业中合作重要;
2.        开创一个事业的时候个性重要的论述和例子,Gates辍学开微软;
3.        成熟有一定规模的事业中合作重要的论述和例子;
4.        结尾。

Which decides the personal economic success more, the individuality or the conformity? The speaker asserts that conformity is required more. My understanding is that individuality is the key quality to start a new business or career while the conformity is critical when you want to make the business bigger and more mature.

Individuality has always been highly regarded as the quality of few talents in the world. It is often closely related to courage, passion, dream and so forth. The one who has this quality cast an example for the young men who are dreaming of starting a big business. We can not find a more typical example than Bill Gates, who entered Harvard in 1973, and dropped out two years later when he and Allen started the engine of Microsoft. Now the Microsoft has became the largest software company in the world, and which make Bill Gates the richest man. Consider if the conformity weighed more than individuality in his heart when he studied in university, it is highly unlikely he would make up his mind to drop out from one of the best university and would not achieve his economical success.

However, to run your business which has developed into a relative mature one, or working in such company where the regulation, work method, even business culture has been mature accordingly, conformity seems more critical. When you apply for working in Microsoft, the founder of which is the typical example of individuality, the quality of teamwork and cooperation are required as well as your work ability and professional background, the formatter two even stand before the latter two requirements, illustrates that the conformity is emphasized. It is not too hard to understand this, the bigger the group you are in, the more essential the cooperation will be.

Consider a developer in Microsoft who has the best education background, ambition, work passion and the talent in software development as Gates, but he refuses to communicate with his coworkers and his leaders. He believes he can do his business well without the participation of others, thus make a terrible relationship with people around him. He may make an achievement in a very small scale because of his excellent business skills, but it will be hard for him to make any further progress because there are rarely some projects can be finished without the cooperation with others as the projects grow bigger and more complex. Being able to operate with other has been regarded as the key quality not only for the leader of the group, but also the basic quality of the fellows. Dale Carnegie, an American writer and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training, public speaking and interpersonal skills, asserted that success owns 80 percents to good interrelationship and 20 percents to one's ability. The importance of conformity has be emphasized than ever before, and will surely be even more important as the cooperation of different countries, of different companies as well as of people within same organization is required. Nevertheless, the quality of ambition, work passion and strong should not be ignored, otherwise the group may developed a rigid atmosphere and a poor efficiency.

In sum, taking the two aspects into consideration, it is safe to conclude that individuality will play a decisive role when start a new business in which the quality of courage to take a risk, the insight to choose a right direction are critical, while the conformity's importance will filly demonstrated when the business has developed mature in which the regulation and cooperation are considered contribute more to effective management, high efficiency, low risk and group stability than individuality.
