I130 A143 这次ISSUE和ARGUMENT都没写完...
I tend to fundamentally agree with the assertion that how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society. However, in the era filled with enormous amounts of information, people put excessive emphasis on the academic education for logical ability; on the contrary, the children are less socialized. My point of view is that not only children should be indicated with adequate knowledge of science and technologies, but also they should be taught to be communicate and cooperate with others for their better future in society.
Foremost, it is true that the academic education is of utmost significance. Since almost all the fields in people's life request for mathematic or physics to pave the roads for them; in other, science is the solid basement of the prosperous and further development of the society. Therefore, education put much emphasis on children' ability of logical analsis and induction, which can develop their intelligence and enlighten their creativity deeply and effectively, preparing them for a potential of further study or research. Thus, the importance of academic educations especially the mathematic and physics should never be ignored.
However, merely offer the children with adequate knowledge of science and technologies is far from enough. Adimittedly, a complete and general frame of knowledge is essential for one's success, but it does not indicate that one will be bound to succeed only with their intelligence and knowledge. Take the Virgina Tech Massacre, which happened in Virgina Tech, U.S. in 2007, for instance. Recently, a Korean colleage student shot more than forty students and faculties for his psychological problems and unsatisifaction with his classmates, which led to a miserable fact that 26 students died and 36 people wounded in this event. However, it is abosutely avoidable. The tragedy results from the Korean student's inmatural mind and lack of comunications with his classmates, which is entirely enable to be get rid of by the indications of moral disciplines and ethics. Thus, from this tragedy, people can conclude that merely with the various education of science and technologies, the children might not grow healthily and completely and therefore socialization is necessary to be paid enough attention.
Futhermore, we can find many cases indicate that socialization plays a vital role in the cultivation and education of children as well as the development of individuals indeed. On the one hand, As the realm of science is concerned, it is no doubt that only with positive and effective communication and cooperation, one can create immortal value. It is known for all that Thomas Edison is famous for his thousands of patented inventions. However, it might be not known publicly that most of the inventions are the results of the cooperation of groups of people sicen Thomas Edison hired a lot of workers to help him on these reseaches under his guide. On the other hand, when it comes to the realm of art, for example, Van Gogh, a famous post-impressionist. it is true that he created the priceless masterpieces such as the Sunflowers and the Potato Eaters, yet he eventually came to a suicide after cutting off part of his left ear. Since he lacks of normal social tie and thus he suffered from loneliness and agony, so he is miserable, whatever the fame and money he gained. From both of these two and other scenarios, we can assert that socialization, mainly including communication and cooperation, truly inluences a development of people significantly.
In sum, nobody can deny the essentility of the logic ability, while nobody dares to underestimate the the influence of socialization on people especially on children. Consequently, only with both of these two aspects are taken into account and relevant measures are implemented, the destiny of society could be changed positively.

Your recent article on corporate downsizing* in the United States is misleading. The article gives the mistaken impression that many competent workers who lost jobs as a result of downsizing face serious economic hardship, often for years, before finding other suitable employment. But this impression is contradicted by a recent report on the United States economy, which found that since 1992 far more jobs have been created than have been eliminated. The report also demonstrates that many of those who lost their jobs have found new employment. Two-thirds of the newly created jobs have been in industries that tend to pay above-average wages, and the vast majority of these jobs are full-time."
*Downsizing is the process in which corporations deliberately reduce the number of their employees.

The author claims that the one of national nespaper's recent articles on corporate downsizing is misleading. To support his or her assertion, the author cites a a recent reports which contradicts with the article and concludes that it prove the idea of the article on the national newspaper is unsound. However, this assertion has several flaws which hinder it wholly unpersuasive as it stands.
Firstly, the notion that since 1992 far more jobs have been created than have been eliminated cited in the report does not indicate that many workers can find other suitable jobs during a short period time and be free of economic hardship. However, the downsizing might find a job easily, but they cannot find suitable jobs that could afford the fees for their children' education, the cost of the daily routine, and even the necessary fuel of their automobiles. Therefore, the author fails to substantiate that they can find suitable jobs after their downsizing.
Secondly, the demostration that many of those who lost their jobs have found new employment also cannot lend a sound support to the workers get their new job during a short period. Since the downsizing, people always have to make through a series of hard days before ajusting themselves to the normal tempo of the society. It is highly possible after suffering a period filled with agony and shame, they could find their new jobs reluctantly. So even though they eventually find their new jobs, the pay the precious time for the bills: downsizing.
Finally, the facts that two-thirds of the newly created jobs that have been in indusries tend to provide a high pay also cannot lead to the conclusion that these jobs are mostly taken by the workers who ever suffered from downsizing. Though competent and experienced, the downsizing workers' ages and weak energy are the fatal disadvantages. On the contrary, more and more young and competent people are flooding into the society, and thus they might take up most of these newly created jobs. Therefore, even though the jobs tend to pay above-average wages, however, it is none of the business of the downsizing workers unfortuanately. Thus, without ruling out this possiblity, the author cannot convince me that the downsizing workers can receive a considerable pay by the facts.
In sum, this assertion which seems logical at first has several flaws within it. To bolster this assertion, the author should prove clearly and directly that the downsizing workers indeed find jobs during a short period of time and besides the jobs are suitable for them. Futhermore, to better improve this assertion, the author also should substantiate that the downsizing workers take up most of these newly created jobs and gain a high pay through this.
