In the year of 221BC, Qin Shihhuang, the first emperor in Chinese history, established his empire and a enormous

amount of laws which were used to confine and restrict the behaviors of the civilians, and those laws which were

conductive to his flourishing and unparallel country were complied carefully by the civilians. However a few years

before his death, some laws was promulgated to gather 90 percent of the fortune in the country and  labor in

order to satisfied his own desires , for example his mausoleum called the Chinese pyramid underground. The

agony of living and working in that society made the country inferno, so as soon as the news of Qin’s death

extravasated , the entire country sweet into a huge and famous revolution which destroyed the Qin empire , at

last people's peaceful life returned. Learned from this story in history, in my perspective, individual in a society

should obey just laws and disobey and resist unjust laws.


The just laws are conductive to establish a flourishing society. The purpose of those just laws enacted by the

governors are used to confine and restrict people's behaviors what is foundation of a society lasting stability and

durably, so they make the society peace and order where  people can settle down and think about their future life

and own interests, just like sailing in the sea: there is no one prefer to enjoy the pretty scenarios of the sea in the

storm and there is no one consider about nothing but surviving in a chaos society. When the appetite and desire

of people are satisfied, people will contribute their lives and energies to boost their own and others' living

condition and promote the advancement of the society. So it is apparent that the precondition of a flourishing

society is a peace and order society whose premise is that individual, an element of society, should obey just

laws. Moreover, it is everybody's accountability to obey and vindicate the just laws, for example if peacebreaker

escape from the locale of traffic accident, and there is no one who pinpoint the criminal, the agony of the injured

people will not be paid and the justice will never be served in the end. If those crimes are ignored and the

criminals are not punished, the society will sink into chaos. In a nutshell, every individual in a society should gain

a responsibility to obey just laws.


However, confronting the unjust law one should disobey and resist them. The naissance of those unjust laws

usual stays with the desire and benefits of a small groups of people including the people who directly or indirectly

dominate the society. And those groups of people who are the vermin of a well-off society should be toppled

because their unjust laws harm the harmonious of the society and their own happiness establish above the

anguish of civilians. In the epoch of Civil War, the living condition of the black slaves was extremely cruel, whose

heavy work just like a colossal gravel on their shoulders what arouse the compassionate of the people living the

north whose leader is Abraham Lincoln , a famous president who is honored by his revolution of liberation of black

slaves. Lincoln fought against the unjust laws that provide proper right to the people who kept slaves and at last

the north people win the war and the living condition of blacks was improved. Further more, if we do not disobey

and resist those unjust laws, those peoples will be indulged and they will exploit more and more acutely and as

the victim of our own behaviors we should not only consider about our future life but also life of our offspring.


In the sum, just law like the sun shining in the sky feed the society with energy to keep it order and flourishing,

while unjust law like the evil in the darkness intend to harm any goodliness in human society. When all the factors

are well examined , we may safely go the conclusion that one should has a responsibility to obey just laws and

disobey and resist unjust laws.
