[问答] 请教大家一道填空题--yet用法的困惑 [复制链接]

Because many of the minerals found on the ocean floor are still------ on the land ,where mining is relatively inexpensive, mining the ocean floor has yet to become a ------ enterprise
他给的选词是plentiful,profitable 他给的翻译是:
因为很多在海底发现的矿物质在陆地上仍然很丰富,而开采陆地相对而言不昂贵,所以开采海底
到目前为止仍然不能成为一项有利可图的业务.
我的疑问是:我记得yet 是用于否定句中,可是yet做副词时可以表否定吗? 按照他的翻译,在yet前是不是缺了一个not?

yet表否定~

yet = nevertheless

yet做副词时有“然而”的意思

根据金山词霸里面的解释，好像是差了一个yet。可以发信问新东方huangqi了

还有许多事情要做。

他尚未听到过这个好消息。
He has never yet told a lie.
他还从来没撒过谎。
John is alive yet.
约翰还活着。
[同比较级连用]还要

你工作还要加把劲。
[疑问]已经

Has the school begun yet?
已经开学了吗?
[同连接词连用]然而, 可是

It is strange, and yet it is true.
是奇怪, 可是真的。

我是这么理解的
yet表转折（作连词用时）
not yet＝还没有。。。这才表否定吧

has not yet,还没有。
