背景：本科fudan ME 毕业。GPA 3.1。G 390+710。T:627

[问题1]：
由于自己硬件比较差，因此想主申Master的AD。朋友说master申请的话，PS 写起来和申phd的不一样。
master的PS里面主要就写写对于课程的兴趣和match程度，不用侧重research interest.

不知道他这样说是不是正确。请问下master ad 的PS 侧重是啥？

[问题2]：
打听了一下，如果申phd的话，师兄建议我主力50-100的学校。
但是如果我打算拿master的ad的话，应该主力什么档次的学校呢？

If Ad, maybe he is correct on PS~~

If you only want Ad, I suggest apply MS, not PhD. PhD cost more and maybe hard for Visa and future work~~

GT is not important at all~~I guess you may have offer~

It is not that I just only want ad...
Because I think phd is too challenging. Actually, one of my classmate in Stony Brook talked to me recently, he said that he is considering to quit the phd program. Even it is his first semester...
My thought is that maybe apply for ad, I can go to some better school.

even if you are apply for MS, you should also show your research ability and interests, because MS study requires research, and if you want to apply for better school, the research ability will make you more competitive.
Getting AD is not that easy if you want to apply for a good school.
You may have chance to get funding as a master student.
