ISSUE (new 96)  People are too quick to take action, instead they should stop to think of the possible consequences of what they might do.

Taking action and considering the possible consequences are the two aspects most people are constantly struggling for-----to achieve the best balance between the two. Some people may argue that we should be quick in taking actions, otherwise the slow action may lead people to lose the opportunities. However, as far as I am concerned, I agree with the title statement that people should stop to think of the possible consequences before they take actions.

To begin with, to think of the possible consequences of what you might do can give you a certainty of success. Fully preparation makes one a successful man, but hasty can only lead to failure. Once you consider all the possible consequences, you get a full psychological preparation and when the difficulties and calamities come along, they may not seem that horrible and unconquerable to you because they are all in your anticipation. Anyone who can prepare fully before taking any actions are sure to achieve success. Edson, for example, is a great scientist because he had anticipated all the difficulties and experimental failures before he set off for his invention process, thus rather than being terrified by them, he took positive actions to solves these expected difficulties with calmness and intelligence and finally made great achievements.

Furthermore, people should consider possible consequences before they take actions in order to create a better life and leave their descendants a still complete and beautiful world. As is know to all that advanced technologies have caused many negative consequences, say, the risk of cancer caused by the inhalation of asbestos particles, the possibility of large-scale industrial accidents, the ethical issues raised by the life-prolonging technologies and the ever-present danger of nuclear holocaust. There is no need for me to mention the existed terrible problems such as the global warming and the depletion of ozone layer. And, with more and more advanced technologies being developed, more and more other new problems which are harmful to human life and threatening the existence of the world might accordingly be brought about. As an old Chinese saying goes, “ To think twice before you leap.” There is obviously no excuse for people not to think twice before they take such actions as developing advanced technologies or whatever.

Admittedly, overdoing it may hamper people from taking action thus making them lose some critical opportunities of achieving success. It is true that sometimes how to take the action and how to benefit most from the action may weigh so much on people’s minds that lead them to achieve nothing. In addition, there are certain conditions that reject people’s thorough consideration, say, an urgent moment in a war or the occurrence of a fatal disease. However, these are the extreme conditions.

To sum up, to consider the possible consequences before taking actions is not only a right way but also a wise way for people to do whatever they might do if they want a good and pleasant result.

我是菜虫，不敢妄加评论，就随便说说。
语言很通畅流利啊，一些小小的语法错误，比如“as is knowN”。
不过爱迪生的例子我觉得有些牵强，他应该是作为否定该命题的材料。因为如果他考虑了很多，就不会一件一件的试了。。。恩，个人看法+知觉：）　如果换成国家领导人制定某个决策需要深思熟虑啊。。。还有可以提出希望这个萨达姆多考虑考虑，和联合国合作，这个坚强的朝鲜不要推出反核条约啊等等。。。例子还是蛮多的

自我感觉写得不好，比较了一下范文和其他网友发的文章，还是有差距的说。sigh~前段时间还是练的比较多的，基本上没周都会写一两篇吧。不过我的优点是速度比较快呵呵。

我全程模考，95。4的题，还有不到两个月了，我建议大家都模考一下呢，看看自己到底复习了这么一段时间是个什么样的水平，也好制定后面阶段的复习计划。
