    Whether successful leadership requires that a leader possesses the highest ethical and moral standards?The speaker claims so.In general,I agree that a leader should maintain the highest ethical and moral standards in certain realm,such as medical leader and social-spiritual leader.However,we should not overlook that the relationship is less clear when it comes to business realm.
    Considering the medical realm firstly,a successful medical leader should always keep a highest standard of moral and ethics.As we know,a doctor’ obligation is not only to release a patient’s pain but also to safe people’ lives which may cost so much that some of us can not afford.Thus ,the doctor may face a problem that should he or she tries best to safe a poor patient who is in danger but can not afford the fee-to-service at the expense of treating a rich person who just has a little problem in the head ,however,can offer a great amount of money to the doctor privately.Actually,it is the highest ethical and moral standards that demand the doctor choose to safe the former regardless of how much money he or she can get by treating the latter.Nevertheless,the doctor should be punished and the world would become confused.
    Secondly ,when it comes to social-spiritual leader ,such as Gandhi,following the highest moral and ethics is also desired.By recollecting the whole life of Gandhi, we can see that he always maintain the highest ethical and moral standards.For example,the treat every person,no matter the rich or the poor ,impartially.I can not fogget for ever when I saw a scenario on a movie about Gandhi that in order to realize justice,he ,together with his supporters,washes the closestool by turn.When his wife said to him that I would not do the nidering work,he replied that everyone is equal,if you are not ready to do that work,you should not be with us ,even though you are my wife.Without keeping the highest ethical an moral ,perhaps he can not call for all the Indians to fight for their legal rights.
    However ,we should consider that in the business realm highest moral and ethic should balance with profit.Many people may believe that  business leader should be just and legal in addressing commercial deals.However ,if a business leader is honest to his competitors and consumers ,he or she may lead the company to getting less profits.In my point of view,that whether a business leader is successful rests with how much profits he contributes to the company.On the basis of that the leader earns so much profit for the company,he should than consider the high moral and ethic.
    To sum up,whether a leader should maintain the highest moral and ethic is a complex issue.To be a competent medical leader or social-spiritual leader,one should embrace the highest moral and ethic.On the other hand ,when it comes to business realm.the successful leader should give priority to profit.
