"A nation should require all its students to study the same national curriculum until they enter college rather than allow schools in different parts of the nation to determine which academic courses to offer." 一个国家应该要求所有的学生在进入大学之前都学习由国家统一制定的课程,而不是允许由国家不同地区的学校去决定课程的安排。 Partly agree
1.统一的课程有利于同样的背景,便于交流.
2.统一安排时要考虑到不同的爱好与发展,多种思维.地方学校更好处理这个事情.
3.保持两者的平衡.保持教育和文化多样性同样重要.
I partly agree with the speaker's opinion that all the students are required to study the same national curriculum before they enter college. Nevertheless, it is sometimes necessary, even desirable for the juveniles to receive unique courses in different parts of the nation. From my standpoint, we should look for a bit more balance between the national curriculum and particular courses.
.
One compelling argument in favor of the author’s view has to do with the fact that the same national curriculum can serve the long—term development and fairness of one nation. Primarily, it might temper that one country would lay more stress on the long--term advance of the country and less on the one state or several states’ interests, as a result the curriculum are being made according to the necessity of one nation. What is more, with the same curriculum and the same knowledge, all the children are created the equal right to receive the same qualities and culture; at the same time, this approach can avoid neglecting the learning of the developing states or less developed states. The children owning the similar education background will be more likely to communicate to other peoples, to say nothing of sharing the lives with fellowmen. Additionally, convinced the college recording examination, it is more equal for all the students to test with the same experience of education. Only when the public have a sense of equal, can have they a strong motivation participate actively in the future occupation.
On the other hand, we should properly making and amending the amount the content of the uniform curriculum. I t is a crucial period for the children to studying and cultivating interest, if all children are needed to receiving the same education-- that is the no different curriculum and the same teachers, the same knowledge, will have no use than hamper the development of various interests and easily shape them the uniform ideology. Otherwise, there will be lack of diverse approaches and insight ideas to solving problems, even on a social level. As a result it is necessary for the authorities to making a variety of curriculum which involves certain areas according to the interest of the children. Somebody would say the state course also will help the interest development of the children, but if the country delegates the power to the state government, it would make the things better.
Thus, we should look for a bit more between the national curriculums and the unique courses. Some fundamental knowledge and compulsory lessons, such as mathematic and nature commonsense, is required in each school, particularly in the elementary education. While each state should be entitled to regulate different courses according to they culture and ceremonies. If so, there will be a colorful culture in the country for the sake of different people will have different ideology and ideas to life and to solving social problems. At the same time, any state should pay attention to the potential harmfulness which the students only have himself people culture but nothing with others'. Although this reason is not enough not to allow schools in different parts to determine courses but it nevertheless is a concern that education administrators must be aware of in making and enforcing courses.
To sum up, education is one of the greatest twentieth-one century opportunities .Everyone child is entitled to an equal start and an interest. Only when the education authorities are careful to keep the balance, can the young have a lightful future. |
