The speaker hold the opinion that effective political leader should not always tell the truth. I strongly agree with the statement, complete honesty is not a useful virtue for an effetive politician.

At first glance, as an effective political leader, their position decied they can’t  tell the truth all the time. As a politician, honesty is a valuebale personality for themselves only when they in their personal space. But When they have another identity which is political leader, their deeds is not only about themseves, it relate to the party and the nation. Politics is a business which advocate idealism and practice realism. To some extend, politician is a kind of political tool and act according the rule of policical game. In the internationl politics, the politicions sign the bilateral documents and make promise , smile and shake hands to each other before publics or onTV. In fact, they perform accroding the national benefit. Perhaps they will betry what they pronouce. If a politicion can’t conceal the fact and tell the truth to the parterner country, it will lead a diplomatic failure. For example, every country afried other countries’ threaten and strengthen their own military power which called security dilemma. On one hand, the political leaders negotiate with others to reduce military weapon. on the other hand, they make policy to strengthen their weapon researth. It is lie for their paterner countries, but it bring some certain secuity to their own nation.

Forthermore, the political leaders have to lie in some situations, complete honesty is not an useful character to gain policical power and get certain political statue. To maitain their authority, build a perfect reputation and be respeced by the people, the politicion should guise themselve and conceal the facts. If a politician want to surive in the political circle and maitain their certain benefit. On the one hand, they need polish themselve. On the other hand, they need slander their opponent. All these two aspcets filled with lie. As we realized, politics is a war field without blood. The soliders--politicians must use every methord including lying to survive.

On the other hand, the excessive falsehood will bring the resentment from the public. As time pass by, some unnessary lie will be found by the people. For the Iraq leader--Sadam, with falling from power, all lies exposed under the sun and all of the former authority went with the wind. And for the Japanese political leaders, they deny the invasion of Asia and called it as a liberative movement. Before varies documents , photos and recall of soldiers, their people know everything.

All in all, I concede that the game of politics calls for a certain measure of pretended. Complete honesty is relative unnecessary for the political leaders, but not always unnessary. The political leaders can’t destory humanity and the world under lying.

文章写得很好，起码如果是不修改而且只有45分钟的话我是肯定写不出这种水平的
不过要注意，文章中很多低级的错误喔，例子再斟酌下就更好了
