这么久了终於要面对现实了。。。
G:  630+790+4
学校：大陆top5的学校本科金融系排名top10%  成绩90+
想申请top20的学校的经济学phd全奖或者  金融数学之类的硕士（去年我们系前几名有一个去了stanford的金融数学所以还是挺向往的）
大家看看有必要因为g作文而重考吗？

no need to retake G, u profile is strong, but getting into a top20 in econ really depends on how much math u have, real analysis is almost a must, having stochastic, measure theory is even better, although other high level math and statistical course is awesome too, I think these three are the one boost your chance, if you took all of them and get good grade, then you have a good chance for top20, for FE, it depends on your programming skill too.

如果不是那几所人脉特别好的学校，经济PhD有点儿悬，金融硕士比较有把握，毕竟自费的容易很多

这个成绩想拿offer应该是没问题了，可是如果只看着top 20的就不申保底，除非是CCER的top 10吧......

Top 20 要看运气了.
如果不在乎自费,可以去duke,nyu什么读个econ master,然后再申请top 10的 econ phd。

I don't think master or duke is a good step toward top phd, especially for nyu. I think a master in math or statistic may be more helpful for LZ, if you really wants a master in Econ, go for some decent program in Canada or Europe, like UT, UBC, LSE whicdh I believe you have a good chance to get in, or even top program in China will be better for duke and nyu's master
