The bar chat indicates the different grades of post-school qualifications in Australia according to gender in the year 1999.
There were five levels of qualifications from skilled vocational dipoma to master's degree. More men choosed to get skilled vocational dipoma, postgraduate diploma and master's degree, especially for skilled vocational dipoma the number of men accounted for around 90%, which was about 9 times lager than that of the females. and there were approximately 70% and 60% in the number of the males for the postgraduate dipoma and the master's degree respectively.
On the contrary, more femal students had acquired the qualifications of undergraduate dipoma and bachelor's degree. the number of women made up about 70% and 53% for the two qualifications respectively. As a whole, it can been can from the chart more women choosed to get the moderate qulifications, whereas the male prefered to get  higher qualifications to support theri work.
