Which is the better way of education: student-centered or teacher-centered? The speaker suggests that the education should meet the individual needs and interests of students. However, as for me, the speaker over generalizes. I would content that neither of the two teaching methods can be truly effective unless they strike a balance.(这句话好!) Education focuses on the individual needs as well as interests of each student provide more opportunities to develop themselves as what they want and what they are good at.(两个谓语)Common sense tells us that every student differs fundamentally from others in abilities, interests and characteristics. Generally speaking, education aiming at the individual needs and interests of students could motivate the students to chase the unknown area that they are interested in and lead them to a field of study in(at) which they are truly adept. Simply put, without the students-centered education, the characteristics of the students would be probably restricted that many of them can not meet the requirements of modern society. Current wisdom says that if one student wants a good job after graduation, he or she need to form special qualities during the education, making sure that he or she can do some certain things that others can not. If all the students are trained in the same way, then they may face a considerably fierce competition due to their similar features and skills, therefore both employers and students would not be satisfied with the result of education. One(on) the other hand, students would possibly found themselves not being good at the basic skills which support them for further study if only students-centered education is provided. Although student-centered education makes students unique, an over concentration on individual interests would easily cause the students neglecting such normal abilities as reading, writing, calculating and other essential skills which are definitely required. Yet it is the teacher-centered teaching method that pays more attention to all the general abilities above makes the traditional education more effective. Not only may student not build a solid foundation for higher level education, but the student-centered education can also lead to serious shortage of educational resources which can not be sufficiently provided. As the requirements of the new teaching method, we need more teachers with different knowledge background to respond to numerous questions that come from the students. Meanwhile, the schools also have to buy more experimental instruments and other facilities to give the students more opportunities to practice by themselves. All of these put a financial burden on the schools, even the government. To sum up, from what has been discussed above, we may finally draw the conclusion that both of the two methods play a vital role in our education development, therefore we should emphasize the individual needs and interests of each student as well as the basic knowledge.
这篇文章的结构很清楚,典型的平衡观点的写作方式。
各段之间层次很清晰,句间衔接得不错。
可能我觉得还是语言,如果能再好好润色一下就能更好了。
