约了9:30，8:30到梅龙镇。外面没有排队，电梯上了8楼，里面人较多排队过安检，排队1
号窗口交表，叫到号按指纹，然后排队等待面签，比较顺利，就是人比较多，空气有点闷
，等签完出来11:30。时间有点长。签证的大部分都是探亲，工作，商务。

6号窗口YYGG，他示意后我上前，互相问好。然后:
YYGG: so you will study phd?
me: yep, I will study materials science and engineering in *** unversity.
YYGG: What kind of materials?
me: Metals. Ahhh, actually I will do simulation in *** model...
YYGG: May I have your resume?
me: of coz, (pass hime the resume)this is my resume, together with my study pl
an.
YYGG: Oh, good.
me: And I also have my future advisor's resume and research interests, would y
ou like to take a look at it?
YYGG: Oh, yes.
me: (pass hime the releveant materials) Here you are.

(Then he browse through my materials and turn to his computer and start to typ
e something, while I keep on saying: )

me: *** Unversity offers me a full scholarhip with tuition waived, which cover
s my living expenses there as you can see on my I20 form. (At this time, I int
ended to explain to him about my future work in USA, howeve, YYGG seems to be
totally concentrated on typing his computer for the information himself, so st
opped my explaination. After a few seconds, YYGG started to say...)

YYGG: OK, take this card (green card) to window 12. This gonna take a couple o
f weeks for us to investigate into...
me: You mean I am checked.
YYGG: Yep.
me: But my new semester will start on ***. I am afraid I cannot catch up with
the time if I am checked.
YYGG: I am sorry. But it's our rule.(Look at me sincerely)
me: So how long will it take to clear?
YYGG: about several weeks, we will try to be as quick as possible.

(At this time, I looked at him for 1~2 seconds, and then smiled,nodded and sai
d... )
me: All right. Thank you. Good day!
YYGG: you too. (also with smile)

Self Evaluation:

Generally speaking, the conversation is fluent and pleasant. YYGG is known to
be a conscientious and responsible person. I get prepared of being checked, al
though my field is not that sensitive. Recently, two of my classmates (F1 phd
full scholarship) are also checked , partly because there are not many F1 rece
ntly.我后来觉得如果抓紧他查电脑的那段时间给他介绍介绍我要做的方向不知道效果会不
会好一点，请高手指点指点。
