昨天因为我用EMS寄给FMC的材料被 notice left，所以发了封电邮给FMC，叫他们看看我的EMS，抓紧签收，顺便问了他们我的材料有没有寄全，结果今天FMC发给了我一封让我不知所措的回信：

Dear XX,

Hi ...

I'm XX XXX, a junior at Franklin & Marshall College from Wuhan, China. It's
great to know that you are interested in this school because IT IS an amazing
place. I am writing this email to let you know how F&M fascinates me from my
perspective, even though I am sure you've known about this college from various
sources already.

My favorite part of F&M is the faculty and classes. I am an economics major and
math minor, this semester I am taking value & distribution, environmental
economics, probability & statistics, and linear algebra & differential
equations. Though these courses are challenging, I love all of my professors
and classes, which has made it not hard at all to get up early everyday to go
to classes. The professors I've had so far are very helpful and accessible; and
I always like the small classes where I could interact with my professors and
classmates efficiently. Professors are so friendly that sometimes they even
invite us to home dinners or Central Market shopping.

Academically F&M is ideal for me who has been a workaholic; at the same time I
am learning day by day since I first came here how important social life plays
an important role in American culture. It's great for me to realize that I need
to get involved in this community. Don't worry about being not social enough,
whether you are quiet or loud, artistic or business-oriented, diplomatic or
not, there are always many ways to get involved on campus. There are various
clubs and activities going on, you'll find your place. The student body is just
very diverse here.

Talking about diversity, as I am an international student, it's easy for me to
notice that F&M has been recruiting more diverse international student
population each year. And international students are very active on campus.
Every semester we have "international weekend" when we get to taste cuisine
from different countries and appreciate multicultural art performances.

I want to add a few sentences about the Lancaster life. I was slightly not used
to Lancaster when I arrived two years ago. Later when I have got around with my
friends more, I feel like it's a great place to be. Sometimes when I have a
free weekend afternoon, I'll walk to downtown Lancaster with friends or by
myself. My personal favorite of Downtown is the central market, where I can get
fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade food and even restaurant food at a good
price. There are also art galleries, cafeterias and bars to hang out.
