这次真是写得很~亏自己还是学教育的,大家拍哈,不要手下留情

TOPIC: ISSUE51 - "Education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student."
WORDS:582(改后636)          TIME: 00:45:00          DATE: 2008-1-9 15:53:18

Nowadays, much emphasis on meeting the interests and needs of individual is imposed on education, for the simple reason that the scholars, or even the public, recognize the importance of individual development and the fact that personalities, interests, needs are distinguished from person to person. From my personal angle, it is reasonable to tie attention to satisfying individual; however, never should we go to extreme to predict that education can hardly be effective unless it covers interests and needs of each student.

Admittedly, what the students concern is an indispensable factor that greatly influents the teaching process, and therefore each responsible teacher should take it into consideration seriously. As we know, the student's needs and interest being satisfied in the process of learning, the motivation of the student can be probably stimulated, and we can further infer that the very student will try his or her best with the task presented. Those whose interests are met feel as if they were heading for the paradise where they are dreaming about for years when they were on voyage. The motivation will possibly, if not necessarily, bring out promising future of learning.

However, taking all the advantages mentioned above into account, on the other side, we can never ignore the other side of picture, by which I mean the potential negative effects raised by imposing too much pressure on education, requiring each student's interests and needs being satisfied.  Overemphasizing on interests and needs may obstacle the children's development, for the student may suffer from lacking the crucial experience which prompts the development of children in some aspect. For example, those who lack interest in physical exercises tend to be in poor health and may be infected by severe diseases. And those who scarcely pay attention to language learning probably amount to no body in nearly every subject. In order to acquire the rewarding results of balanced development, students should be required to involve in those subjects they less like.

Secondly, it is universally acknowledged that the interests and needs of every student are not fixed throughout the process of studying. Too frequent switches from this subject to another, shifts from this issue to another, will result in superficial impressions of every field or issue. The example of my ex-neighbor can aptly illustrate that point. During the first year in elementary school he jumped from piano to violin, from violin to painting. Within the year, he had tried 6 different curriculums, but at last, he acquired little in such kind of learning. He, out of my expectation, complained his mother for not insisting on him fixing his interest on one subject. Further, since the interests are not consistent, teachers can conduct the students to develop interests in the seemly boring subjects; experience never fails to tell that sort of story.

More importantly, we can never touch the essence of the efficiency of education when we unfortunately neglect the requirements of our society. The modern society is rapid changing, with the explosion of knowledge. The evolution of society is in high demand of considerable amount of people with basic knowledge and skills. Further, this sort of people should be cultivated in a rapid speed. The less time it demands, the higher efficiency of the education is. Concerning the social productivity, the criteria of education efficiency, though criticized, put more weight on quantities of cultivated people trained within limited time. Giving this perspective, the emphasis on individual interests can be viewed as a luxury.

To sum up, covering the interest of each student is important to improve the individual learning. But when we take the respective of society, the criteria of assessing the efficiency of education, more reasonably, should be in accordance of current requirements of modern society. The identical grading system, conducting methods, requirement should not be blamed that hard.

Nowadays, much emphasis on meeting the interests and needs of individual(each student) is imposed on education(总觉得这个句子读起来不顺), for the simple reason that the scholars, or even the public, recognize the importance of individual development and the fact that personalities, interests, needs are distinguished from person to person(vary from case to case). From my personal angle, it is reasonable to tie (pay) attention to satisfying individual. However, never should we(倒装句不错) go to extreme to predict that education can hardly be effective unless it covers interests and needs of each student.(感觉最后一句没有很好的表达作者的立场)

Admittedly, what the students concern is an indispensable factor that greatly influents(influences) the teaching process, and therefore each responsible teacher should take it into consideration seriously(开头最好直接表明观点,不要使用因果句式). As we know, the student's needs and interest being satisfied in the process of learning, the motivation of the student can be probably stimulated, and we can further infer that the very student will try (to do) his or her best with the task presented. Those whose interests are met feel as if they were heading for the paradise where they are dreaming about for years when they were on voyage. The motivation will possibly, if not necessarily, bring out promising future of learning.

However, taking all the advantages mentioned above into account, on the other side, we can never ignore the other sides of picture, by which I mean the potential negative effects raised by imposing too much pressure on education,(这个插入语最好简单一些) requiring each student's interests and needs being satisfied.  Overemphasizing on interests and needs may obstacle(obstruct) the children's development, for the student may suffer from lacking the crucial experience which prompts the development of children in some aspects.

Too frequent switches from this (one) subject to another, shifts from this (one) issue to another, will result in superficial impressions of every field or issue. The example of my ex-neighbor can aptly illustrate that point. During the first year in elementary school he jumped from piano (learning) to violin (learning), from violin (learning) to painting (learning). Within the year, he had tried 6 different curriculums, but (however) at last, he acquired little in such kind of learning. He, out of my expectation, complained his mother for not insisting on him fixing his interest on one subject. Further, since the interests are not consistent, teachers can conduct the students to develop interests in the seemly boring subjects; experience never fails to tell that sort of story.(这段写的比前面好,简洁明了)

总的来说,写的还可以。就是开头段需要简单明确,而中间的各段也尽量写得清晰简要。
而且每段的开头句需要可以一下就点出本段中心。
楼主,一起加油啊!!:handshake

Nowadays, much emphasis on meeting the interests and needs of individual is imposed on education, for the simple reason that the scholars, or even the public, recognize the importance of individual development and the fact that personalities, interests, needs are distinguished from person to person. From my personal angle(view), it is reasonable to tie attention to satisfying(satisfy) individual; however, never should we go to extreme(倒装,好) to predict that education can hardly be effective unless it covers interests and needs of each student.

Admittedly, what the students concern is an indispensable factor that greatly influents the teaching process, and therefore each responsible teacher should take it into consideration seriously. As we know, the student's needs and interest(interests) being satisfied in the process of learning(改成if从句呢?), the motivation of the student can be probably stimulated, and we can further infer that the very student will try his or her best with the task presented.

Overemphasizing on interests and needs may obstacle(prevent/foreclose) the children's development, for the student may suffer from lacking the crucial experience which prompts the development of children in some aspect. (严密呀)

To sum up, covering the interest of each student is important to improve the individual learning. But when we take the respective of society, the criteria of assessing the efficiency of education, more reasonably, should be in accordance of(with) current requirements of modern society. The identical grading system, conducting methods, requirement should not be blamed that hard.
逻辑严密,用词,句式变化多样,佩服。加油。
