I strongly agree with the assertion that significant advance in knowledge requires experience form adverse areas of study, for the reason that various principles relate to each other to a great extent nowadays. Nevertheless, one should be careful not to pay too much emphasis on other subjects neglecting to master its own principle’s foundational knowledge.

No area of scientific and intellectual inquiry exists in a vacuum. Continual scientific progress and success require further collaboration. Consider, for instance, the computer science and technology. Through the history of computer’s development, one can draw a conclusion that without mathematics, physics the computer can never be produced saying nothing of development. The latest advancement of computer technology named Automatic Speech Recognition, the process of converting an acoustic signal. captured by a microphone or a telephone, to a set of words, is closely related with the research of linguistics. By analyzing one’s speech, a linguistician can help identify and generalize the structure of  grammar ,intonation and so forth, enabling  scientists to improves the performance of computer. Obviously ,a linguisticain is complete a layman to computer science, however, it is linguistics that bring a new prospect to computer science and advance its progress greatly. The advance of biology, which attributes to a great extent chemistry, illustrate once again the significance of the interaction among diverse fields of study.

Expertise in various fields is needed to provide greater insight and comprehension, as well as bring diverse perspectives to the problems remaining to be solved. Consider the great artist, Da Vinci, his knowledge in anatomy has greatly contributed to his achievements in arts. Looking into a curriculum list of  a college student who majored in chemistry, one can find it involves  varying  from literature to physics, from philosophy to biology, which can help enrich students’ horizon and ken, benefiting them in solving complex problems.

Notwithstanding the forgoing facts how disciplines depend on each other, an excellent command of the basic knowledge of one’s own field is a must and precondition. What distinguishes a discipline from one another are its basic assumption, conclusion, methods ,and so on. Not only does those basic knowledge play a crucial role in leading to progress of its own principle, but also it can contribute to other fields. Take sociology as an example, it features the empirical method, different from philosophy principle which is famous for critical thinking. And , Over the cause of evolution of sociology, the empirical method remains constant, morever, a series of theories is brought forward by investigating and data analysis--the essence of empirical method.If not ,then sociology may face the risk turning to another philosophy principle. Empirical method is  now widely borrowed by many other fields such as politics and communication, advancing these principles.

In conclusion, it is no doubt that different disciplines are interrelated, thus, the knowledge of one field can shed light on the studies of others, while one must realize that resources from outsiders are used to enrich one’s research, and that knowledge of one’s own principle is the key point, without with all scientific and scientific inquiries are castles in the air.

现在刚开始联系，搜集例子是必须的，临考最好就不要在早资料和查字典了，尽量闭卷。

句子中有很多很好的用法，比如shed light on 和castles in the air。但是有些表达方式感觉不常用，有点生搬硬套。最好抛弃中文思维去查字典的习惯。

是说你用的词都太大或者不常用了，是不是查字典查的啊，不会是你的习惯用语吧。你看看老大的文章为什么读的流畅，主要是用的都是最基本的词汇和表达方式，能用简单的词汇何必用难词了，搞不好就错了。
