Is it true that instructors have not paid sufficient attention on the intellective education, as the speaker has claimed? I do not agree with the claim. According to the designed disciplines in school at present, it is obviously to explain that society have placed enough emphasis on the intellective instruction, at the same time, however, it is not wise for us to ignore the disciplines about arts and other aspects.
First of all, the reason why people have paid so much attention on the intellective education is basing on the rapid development of science and technology. It is well known that the life is becoming more and more convenience for modern people resulting from the using of various new inventions and devices. For example, it is possible for us to go to where we would like to by taking bus, boat or earoplane. Obviously, these approaches are the fruit from the development of intellective and technology. Furthermore, more and more students have take science as their major so that their logical and cognitive ability could be enhanced and improved rapidly. For example, the students whose major is computer or electronic areas, the logical and cognitive skills are crucial for them, not only passing the examination at the terminal terms, but also their work on the future. At present, in order to meet the need of students, most of school have designed a great number of disciplines about science and technology just like my university have designed. Moreover, in China, the number of students whose major is about science or technology is larger than art students. In addition, basing on the motivation by interest, the income of scientific students is higher than art's major students usually. According to above discussion, the intellect education, such as reasoning and other cognitive skills, have been emphasized at present.
However, at the same time, it is no wise to develop one aspect of a certain field on the expense of others. And it is necessary for instructors to pay proper attention on other disciplines, for example the music and painting instruction at school.  It is well known that the civilization of a race is a complicit instruction integrated with many aspects, rather than only scientific achievements. After all, the goal of education is to cultivate students with overall development , including the moral quality and distinguished ability. For example, the architecture of Taj Mahal is the mark of Indian and the painting of Along the River during Qing Ming festival becomes the symbol sign of Song dynasty in Chinese history.  In order to attain above achievements, the relative skills could be gained through the learning of art knowledge.
Thus, it is necessary to consider both advantages of science and art to educate students. By this educated method, the civilization would be enhanced and improved by future builder who are still students at present.
In sum, it is vital for instructors to build a balance between the instruction about the intellective and art disciplines. Only by this way, could the civilization of a nation or society make great progress.
