小弟专业ME, 申的是UIUC的MS/Phd. 今天收到系里来信如下：

Dear XXX:

I am pleased to inform you that you have been recommended for admission to our graduate program beginning with the Fall 2008 semester.  Admission letters are in the process of being mailed out with more specific details.

Graduate study and research at Illinois is personalized and strongly advisor-oriented.  For this reason, we believe it is important to provide you with an opportunity to view the facilities and to meet and interact with our faculty, staff and graduate students.  To better familiarize you with our graduate program, we would like to invite you to visit our campus and department.  The date we have reserved is:  Friday, March 7th, 2008.

The timing was planned over the weekend, so that you might miss a minimum number of classes.  Because space is limited and we must finalize plans quickly, please return the enclosed form as soon as possible (this form will be included in a separate email).  Feel free to scan and send this form back electronically, no later than February 22, 2008.  We realize time is short, but please return your form, call, or notify us of your plans no later than the deadline listed above.  If you have any questions, please feel free to call Laura Baylor (217-244-3416) or email:  mechse-grad@uiuc.edu .  

To assist you in paying your travel expenses, we will reimburse your transportation expenses to and from Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.  The hotel rooms we have reserved are prepaid for the dates indicated above.

We very much hope that you will decide to visit UIUC so that we may have the opportunity to showcase our graduate program and current research.  We look forward to hearing from you soon.
