We live in a world most of the students are acquired to attend the mandatory course. Some people are wondering whether it is an ideal way to make the education effective, they propose that it would be better if specifically designed to meet the individual students, while others argue that it is appropriate by now. It aroused a violent debate. How to judge the education is effective or not? We must focus on the purpose of the education first. As far as I am concern, the most important intent of the education is to cultivate the students, then dispose them to the certain positions to prosper the society and the nation.   

To begin with, the extent to which the content of the course caters to students' interests or needs determines the effectiveness of the study. Everyone has the experience that if the subject is one's favorite, he or she will learn it without too much hardship and maybe spent more time on it, as a result has a higher tendency to achieve accomplishment. On the other hand, if it is not the case, it will hamper students to bring their potential into full play. In this respect, it is deviating so far from the rudimental purpose of education.  In today's china, the rate of unemployment is so high mostly because the human resources are not put into the desired place which is also deemed to be the main fault of the education. And what if the courses are not the vary ones students really need, the ones which are unnecessary even not useful? Undoubtedly, without any motivation, students would have not any goals and an oriental on the way of persuiting career. Accordingly, they will get slacked off, tired, and give up on the half way easily.

Taking all of the factors above into accounts, we do have bunches of justifiable reasons to accumulates as much as strengths to meet students' interest and needs, However there are some fundamental know ledges need to be indoctrinated into students' mind. These courses are mandatory regardless of students' interests, whether they will lead a career related to the course, such as ethics, history, basic law which serves the function of imparting young essential principles which plays a vital role in forming indispensable elements to help the young to become excellent, also which is the approach of promoting the level of a nation's entire civil’s virtue.  For example, some experts with professional knowledge or technique took advantage of their brainpower to commit crime which pose risk and threaten to the nation's property and safety. If these kinds of people, people who merely focus on their own benefits and lose sight of the collective rights, become more and more, our education system should be blamed harshly for its fault that it only fed people with enough knowledge but inadequate morality. In order to reach the final purpose of the education, there is unassailable need to set certain amounts of courses to guarantee the effectiveness of education.

In addition, for several sakes children can not realize the importance of some courses, the guidance and broad courses are in need in this sense. Children are the people in the age of change, ignorance, caprice, larksome. They are inclined to choose the easy, amusing, interesting courses but which may not full of practical knowledge or skill, and the subject they are in favor of currently maybe will be found boring in a very short period of time. Furthermore, due to the restriction engendered by the childish of students, they have not mature judgment to distinguish the appropriate courses, consequently to perfect the knowledge structure.  Along with the age and experiences gradually growing, they can find the best suitable ones and fulfill their dream with the knowledge learned from courses which thought to be tedious and useless before. Therefore, proper guidances provided by the parents and teachers and courses involving as wide as possible are beneficial to advance the effectiveness of education.

To sum up, the speaker's assumption that education will be truly effective only when it is specifically designed to meet the individual needs and interests of each student is open to doubt. This recommendation is partially right with the respect to the circumstances we confront to. The solutions vary according to different conditions.
