    I totally agree with the author's assertion that every study's advancement should result from other realms. Meanwhile, It means that anyone who wants to achieve a great success should be familiar with not only his own major but also something else.
    First of all, there is hardly a realm isolated. In the complex society, no field can be exist alone. They need support of others. If any pure field is alone, and then it can not survive  not to mention development. Mathematics, which is very typical to be an evidence of may point, can be called a pure fundamental subject in the early of last century. But now it is always used in computer technique, which, in turn, contributes to enhancing math work. Modern society creates a lot of such instances. Almost all realms are interwinded each other and we are involved too.
     As a matter of fact, when a researcher study something for a long time, he would rather to consider in the so-called "experience" way in front of new problems. Sometimes it do make the problem done quickly, but it is also a striction to professor. Here I can take an example to indicate that. In last century Einstein publish his researcher about relativity, which could be called a evolution in the history of physics, and there is few scholar who can understand him, let alone to believe him. But now it is proved right widely. Are those scholars foolish? No, I think. They can not recognize that just because they were using the old way to solve problems. So when some guy wants to achieve something in his realm, he should know something outside. A Chinese old phrase saying" the river is so clear because clear water flow in ", is the same meaning of this topic.
    Therefore, we can not ignore anything that seems not too much close with us. It can inspire us and show some clues if we can find them. A biologist may be suggested by his cooking normal sense, while a physics researcher finds something in shower. If you do no care about these details, you may miss such opportunities to be great man.   
   In sum, to the achievement of certain study, knowledge from other field is important, especially in the over-rated society. A outsider who knows nothing about you realm a year ago may abruptly do a very perfect job because of his background knowledge. And this is playing a positive to encourage us to go outside to broad our eyes and this is why I am a participant of GRE.
