UIUC 来信要bank statement of at least 5000$

不知道大家有没有收到经院小秘这样的来信，说只要交了bank statement of at least 5000$才算材料齐全。因为原来我bank statement 填的全是零。烦请告知办理这样的statement存折上的钱需要存多久的？会不会冻结？必须是US$么？谢谢！

Please let me explain.  You did indeed include a Declaration of finance form in your package, but it is inadequate.  The forms we are requesting of you are needed in order to be issued an I-20.  Our government requires that students coming in be able to cover their living expenses.  I ask applicants to show at least $5000 available to them in US funds.  These forms would be required in addition to any stipend(pay) you might be offered.  The amount offered as a stipend is not enough to satisfy the requirements of providing living expenses.  If you cannot sponsor yourself it would be appropriate to ask a relative or friend to do so.  In addition, you would not receive a paycheck until after you have been here a month.  You should use the funds you have indicated to meet the requirements of the forms needed. 我每家要资助证明的学校我都附了５０Ｗ的财产证明上去的．没用刀计算．
不过ＵＩＵＣ给ＡＤ的时候也没再要我寄财产证明．
你去银行问一下，都有这个＂财产证明＂业务．存折上有钱就可以，办完需要冻结一段时间
可以办冻结一年＼半年＼三个月等几种．自己选一个就好
