As the speaker claims, I tend to agree with the point that individuals, who serve as organizers, leaders of the whole campaign while citizens yield to the society or reality, play an important role on significant event. Nevertheless, we cannot overlook the influence of group when we count for the success of the history event.

Admittedly, in retrospect, normal participants who were advocated by the leader formed the main force of campaign we’ve learn so far, hence we cannot simply attribute the success of history campaign to the leaders without concerning with the effort of normal participants. Speaking of the struggle of Africa Americans in America, it is those Africa Americans that unified together to repel the government’s unfair policy and fight for the equality as the Whites share, leading to the compromise of government and improvement of their lives. It is true that Martin Luther King serves as the leader in the campaign, however , without the effort of whole Africa Americans this campaign would not be weaken after the restrict of governments and the Whites. Women in the feminism campaign serve an equal role as African American did as we mentioned. They both become the bolster of the whole events and main streams resisting to the opponents under the guide of several leaders.

Albeit normal participants’ support has something to do with the significant events, efforts which leaders of the events exert serve to the campaign as well. One philosopher has been said that ‘People without guidance become blind to be lost.’ The old-saying indicates a rule which applies to the history of politics, art and science. When it comes to science, majority of valuable hypothesis thought to be the great theory in the future is proposed by few scientists instead of agreement of most scientists. For instance, Einstein insists on the bend of light which against the durable theory that claims light is linear. As the development of knowledge, other scientists tend to agree with Einstein’s opinion after the new equipments testify the hypothesis. There are same situations in art as well. For example, the use of light in painting becomes the leading way in modern art. Accounting for the spread of new way of painting, we have to concentrate on the effort of Van Gogh, not others, who inspires other painters to follow the new way and form the impression painting nowadays. Finally, when it comes to politics, it is the leaders that put forward with the new ideas leading citizens to the success of campaign. Otherwise, African Americans would yield to the press of the Whites, stand what they suffer and keep away from the rights they deserve today.

All in all, both few individuals and groups of people play important roles on significant events. We cannot simply overlook neither of them, since groups of people are the main forces of events and few individuals serve to lead those people in the events.
