How about people' attitude to the records of past, emphasizing or ignoring? Both positive and negative effects on people call for a balance in which there are both ignorance and keeping in mind.

Ignoring the past records is necessary in some circumstances to allow leaders to make reasonable decision in order not to be influenced by former data. The rapid social and technological development leads to increasing of change which is the fundament of making decision. For example, when an automobile company plans to make a marketing strategy for one new type of car, the marketing information or data ten years ago might be likely to useless for them. In the past ten years, many conditions have been changed a lot, such as the economic condition, consuming levels and consumer favors. To make reasonable decisions, the leader of sailing department should make the sailing strategy on the base of ignoring those information, or else the sail of this type of car must be disappointed. In short, the past records sometimes lead to improper decisions.         

Admittedly, some past information might mislead people to make improper decisions, but those aspects only interfere to some detail problems. On the other hand, the historical records often affect people on making important decisions which refer to universe issues, such as the war and environmental protect.

First people can learn that war brings so much damage to people around the world from those dictations about war from past fictions or other records. For that reason, political leaders in each country are very cautious about the generation of war. Simply put, without those records about war, people will lose the recognition about the deterioration of war and have less cautious about its generation, then some people in power would another World War. While it is fine for those people who are earnest to war, for most common people who are willing to have peaceful lives it is a disaster. The history about war presents people from deciding to lead to another war.  

Second people can obtain the information from the researchers’ data that the extension of many animals and plants as a result of aggravation of environment. In the past one hundred years, more and more animals disappear. The past records about extension of animals and plants help human to make the decision to protect our environment.

In sum, even though some past records affect people to make improper decision, most important decisions are made on the basement of past history. For reasonable persons, they should discard those records that mislead their decisions, but more important is keep in mind those records that help us to make right decisions.
