[求学路上] 我的cuhk人类学mphil详细面经，攒rp~~~ [复制链接]

申请专业：Mphil in anthropology

研究方向：management of cultural heritage

电面时间：2008.02.29

原定三点半interview的，结果三点二十分手机就响了。对方是一个女老师，和蔼地问我提前一点开始没问题吧，我说没问题。然后她说转接给XX教授（没听清，好像是Mathews）.刚转过去，电话就莫名断了。等待。半分钟后手机响起，女老师说 “let’s try again”, 然后就开始了。

没有要我自我介绍，也没有问为什么选cuhk，几乎一切general的问题都没问。

第一个问题就直奔主题，问我cultural heritage的问题，我先紧张没听清，以为问我为什么选择研究heritage，就开始往下说，没说两句教授就打断我说不对。 “I beg your pardon.”教授说 why do you think heritage is important，我才搞清楚，开始简单阐述heritage的意义。教授说glad to hear your answer。

然后问我学过人类学的什么理论？我说我读过 “cultural anthropology” written by Kottak, I also studied anthropology in our course of cultural anthropology. And I have read “Bushido” written by…被教授打断，问我学过什么理论。我只好说我读过的都是introduction, not specific theories. （后悔了，没答好，我应该谈谈fieldwork method, interview schedule, theory of cultural transmission什么的. 这个问题我本应该想到的，怎么就忘了呢，郁闷）

然后问我知不知道Burra charter? 我回答it’s the chart for places of cultural significance, issued by Australia ICOMOS.

又问我研究什么NPO? 我以为是问我什么是NPO,就说non profits organization，还说想研究NPO在heritage preservation中的作用.结果教授打断我，说他要问的是我打算研究哪个NPO，还向我解释说一般在研究生阶段会研究某个NPO. 我回答我研究NPO in Nanjing and Beijing, because they are enduring (?我一激动，用错词了，应该是用experiencing) a drastic social change, and a lot of traditional houses have been destroyed during the past 10 years. I believe NPO should play an important role in heritage protection.

然后教授问我有什么问题？我说有。问他中大人类学系和文化遗产研究中心是什么关系。女老师说就是他们系的。我问if I enroll into your program, could I participate in the fieldtrips of the centre of cultural heritage studies? 男教授说，in fact, you are required. 我说that’s great! I’m glad to hear that. 他说如果你被录取，相信你会很enjoy it.

最后，教授说他还有一个问题想问我，说我没学过人类学理论，问我是否愿意读ma. 我心想千万不要，ma自费，我不干，于是就说不愿意，I just want to pursue a mphil.

然后就面完了，此时是三点三十三，总共面了约12分钟，原以为会有20到30分钟呢。

总的来说, 问的问题基本都答上了，感觉还可以，只是有好几次开始都没听清，要他重复。最后关于是否ma的回答，也不知道到底会怎样。祈祷祈祷～～：）
