ISSUE88 - "Technologies not only influence but actually determine social customs and ethics."

TS:现代科技发展很迅速,尽管它已经改变了我们的生活方式甚至影响我们的思想,但是决定社会风俗和民族习惯是过分高估了科技的作用。
1）  科技影响风俗伦理，风俗伦理逐渐随着科技发展而进步。
2）  科技只影响到了社会风俗和伦理而不能决定。
3）  社会本身是人的集合，科技是由人决定的。
CS:我们不能忽视科技对于社会风俗和伦理的影响，但这不等于我们承认风俗伦理是被科技决定的。
Nowadays with the rapid progress of the technologies, people's life and thanking are deeply influenced. But we could not recognize that social customs and ethics are determined by the technologies, this issue overstates the role of the technologies.

On the one hand, we have to agree that technologies deeply influence social customs and ethics, and the social customs and ethics also progress under this influence. For instance, Copernicus who advanced the theory that the earth and other planets revolve around the sun disrupted the geocentric theory that is supported by the church. Even this leads disbelief to the church and the birth of the atheism. Take another example, the industrial revolution makes urbanization and changes millions of people's life and their customs. So we could see that the technologies not only changed our life but also deeply influence our customs and ethics.

On the other hand, our social customs and ethics are greatly affected by the technologies, but this affects does not equal to the determination. The internet technology impacts changing of the communication ways between people, and it makes our life more convenient and quicker than before. But it could not change our ethics, in the festival like the Christmas we also need an adult to act as Santa Claus to give children presents but not only by the internet. We could also find other facts as the mobile phone or other automation technologies, they change our life, but our customs and ethics are never changed only by the technologies.

Lastly, the technologies are created by the human beings, so do the human determine the social customs and ethics but not the technologies themselves. In every society, the scientists and technologists are influenced by the social customs and ethics. Most creatures of technologies are benefit for the human rights and some technologies like atomic weapons, human cloning, and etc. are strictly under control by the governments and international association. In some extend, we could say the human create the technologies and human also determine the social customs and ethics.

In conclusion, we could not overlook the influences of the technologies for our life, our view for the world and even our customs and ethics. However, we should know who determine the social customs and ethics are human beings but not the technologi

文章总体思路还是不错的。但是中间三段如果再配上一点逻辑说理的话，例子就能更突颖而出了。
