Merriam Webster的1500SAT/GRE word list 倒是非常不错的，值得一看。

It has been said, "Not everything that is learned is contained in books." Compare and contrast knowledge gained from experience with knowledge gained from books. In your opinion, which source is more important? Why?



No doubt .there are too many advantage knowledge gained from book outnumber the disadvantage ,but knowledge from experience ,on the other hand , has no more advantage than the disadvantage .
The most benefit advantage of knowledge from books is that it can include a large number of varity of subjects and more extensive field ,such as , biology ,geography, economic, psychology, art ,sport and so on. In the area of art , virtually ,it covers sculpture , painting , photography ,even the architecture , horticulture can be consided to be the part of it.
To achieve the same effort , the knowledge from the experience will have enough time to do these plenty of varities of knowledge which from the books may use the time more efficient ,in limilted time ,for instance , one hour, how many knowledge we can get from the experience ?in the other word ,the little experience just extracts few effort in the whole progress of  learning knowledge, but getting knowledge from the books, it maybe can learn important part of the knowledge. .In the field of swimming , in one hour, you can learn the right posture of the way of swimming from the book, however, from the experience ,we just learn little and nobody will make sure the knowledge from the experience is right.
Another benefit of A ,which B cannot accomplish, is that the knowledge that comes from the books are more deeper and system than the knowledge which derives from the experience. Takeing swimming for example again, one book ,pulished for teaching person how to swim step by step , in first charter perhaps tells the leaners some elementary practice about swimming or some background information which concerned with swimming history and security knowledge of swimming or some tips that is swimming normal aid. Some notes in the page of the book will tell some usually mistakes which elementary students will have.
Although B has its seemingly profound advantage, it can only be achieved conditionally because mastering the capability of swimming from the experience needs a large mount of time to practice, accumulating the experience about what is the correct way for swimming ,sometimes, the right isn’t always accompanied with them ,they alter actually the approach of swimming aimlessly ,but they are desperate to find right method. Without advanced swimmer or coach to teach them ,maybe they never get the right way.
After understanding these reasoning above, it is quite safe to say choosing A is wise action.

语法一直是我的弱项，最近开始看语法书了，写作文的时候也是想到什么写什么，想怎么用词就怎么用词，从来不管对错，your words is  to me what rain is to the drought , thank you very much.
