2 f# [) p4 O! V  K% Z/ o) A9 U& ZAlthough creativity is an indispensable factor in all human endeavors,it is not the sole factor. Using ideas form others os equally,if not more,powerful. I’m not the only advocate of this point of view,there were countless examples throughtout history.

Confucious also stand in my side,for his Analect starts with this wisdom: “When the problem is beyond my own reach,I would not hesitate to employ other’s philosohy.”. Although this wisdom is so often heard that everything truly insightful has already been exploited.But every adage derives its edurance from its undeniable truth.And Confucious is clearly sending a simple but powerful message to his descendants:Sometimes,it is better to forgo obstinate “originality” and embrace ideas from others.

And Confucious met his words with his deeds.He was once capitivated by the inviting music performed by his neighbour-----Laos. The music was so meloncholy that Confucious would forsake dinners and sleeps just to listen to the music.Confucious was so impressed with the music that he made up his mind to emulate a better one.

Then,Confucious set aside his philosophy and devoted himself to the “reasearch of prime music”.Confident as he was at the very beginning,Confucious gradually felt greater sense of frustration. He had tried every notes,tones,tunes and even different instruments,but his music was still but noise compared to that of  Laos.

Those firm addict of opinions like “originality talks” would always show up at this occasion and state “Good job,Confucious! You just need one more try and you may succeed!Then you could have your own wonderful music!”

7 o( @0 w6 P! ?7 FBut isn’t it a bit of perfectionism and cynicalk to addict to something bootless and neglect the most efficient way of achieving Confucious’ goal----to consult Laos?

Confucious knew the math.He learned the music from Laos and they became friends everscince.

I just can not help but say that imitation is really powerful when creativity is at its ends.
