I think no matter where you are, and whatever you are doing, there are always different challenges and tough tests from life whether you accept them or not. one of the most powerful cognitive thinking ability I learned from psychology is always be aware of the 'problems' -- distinct those catastrophic thoughts from the self from external events, and never let your negative emotions be part of the problems. after all, life is tough in someway we may not like it, we stilll need to be tougher in order to go over them. soo.. add oil and pray for a little.

优点：
1.免学费，每月奖学金2000刀，住行全免。
2.相对于学术，我比较喜欢创业(就业)，之前有三年的创业经验。毕业后中沙两国都会有政策和资金支持创业。会积累一定的connection。
3.有Master学位后，就业和读博可能比现在更容易一些。
缺点：
1.太热。
2.校外没什么东西。
3.没有QS排名。大家去那基本是读博做学术。
学校：某校和香港理工大学联合培养
学历：PhD(港理2年+某校2年,有可能延毕)
专业：EE
优点：
1.PolyU学校好，正常申根本不可能去PolyU读PhD。发PolyU学位证书，后续发展一定程度上可以用PolyU文凭。
2.联培校导师是大牛，方向也还可以。
缺点：
1.按目前情况来看，留服认证基本不可能了。
2.接下来几年不太想在亚洲，想去欧美看看。
3.我学术水平不高。不知道能否按时毕业。即使按时毕业，文章质量与层次估计也不好找教职。
24fall加硕??选择，麦马st带coop还是滑铁卢syde无coop？目标是找到工作留当地。
本人背景：陆本非七子985传统工科，2年多不知名小厂工作经验，职位title是开发但实际工作内容是软件实施、比较水。目前有两个offer，一是麦马大学systems and technology下的automation smart system分支，一是Waterloo的system design engineering。最终目标是找工留当地（有考虑未来南下），两者oinp加分一样，所以究竟哪个项目更有利于找工是我考虑的重点。
麦马ST
pros：
①有coop，理论上coop有利于找工，但是coop本质只是提供一个机会，我在小地瓜搜了一下就读体验之后，发现该项目coop的上岸率比较一般，hiring freeze之后coop普遍反馈是不好找；
②总花费在预算范围内，去了之后专注学习偶尔打打工就行。
cons:
①从签证角度看，去年有一些人反馈学签被安调了但是学校不允许defer导致被迫跳车；
②排名和声誉都不如滑铁卢（因为学费是我家里人出，她们很看重这个)。
滑铁卢syde
pros
①北美的认可度和cs校友资源都是强于麦马的，qs之类的排名也已超过麦马（而麦马几乎是连年下跌）未来如果南下也更容易networking？
②签证角度看如果学签出问题，可以无缝defer到下个学期（信源来自xhs）。
③Waterloo从城市角度说比汉密尔顿有更多科技企业，找房之类似乎也更方便，但可能殊途同归还是得去多伦多？
cons
①无coop。课程安排也没有学期间的break，很难找实习（我认为intern很难接受每周只能工作最多20hr的实习生吧，说错请指正）。
②学费比前者贵了将近10万rmb, 对我来说是一笔巨款了，如果选择滑铁卢那我肯定需要打很多工才能维持生活。
综上，其实本质上来说，我觉得这个问题可以简述为Waterloo比麦马强的“名声校友等资源”是否能够弥补无coop外加学费贵10W的劣势？希望友友们给我建议，究竟选哪个学校？以及如果我对于这两个学校优劣势的论述有误的话，也请指正一下。
