A foreign visitor has only one day to spend in your country. Where should this visitor go on that day? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your choice.



Long history, enormous land and numerous nationalities are the three important characters of China, hence there are so many wonderful scenes. If a foreign visitor had just one day, Beijing is a good choice. Beijing, as the capital city, offers a diverse look at China. The Forbidden City, the Great Wall and  Qianmen Street are the places I suggest to see.

The Forbidden City is the biggest palace in the world. There are nine hundred and ninety-nine and a half rooms, and more than one hundred kings spent their lives in there. In the Forbidden city, you can find not only the most typical garden and traditional buildings of China, but also a lot of famous antiques such as the first copper pot in the world history and the Piyi'ring who was the last king in Chinese history. Walking in the City and hearing the stories happend in it, you can get good recogenition of Chinese history.

The Great Wall is another must-see in China. The Great Wall, built two thousand five hundred years ago, was used to stop the invasion of some northern nationalities such as Menggu, Man, Qidan. It is one of the most magical things in the world for two reasons. First, it's hard to believe that human can build so large a wall without modern machines, and the second one is that it can be seen on the moon.

Finally, Qiangmen Street is a attracting place for most people. We all know that Chinese history is also a food history and Chinese food is the most delicious food in the world. There are fifty-six nationalitis in China and every nationality has its own traditional food. All these can be found on Qiangmen Street. It can be said that if you tasted all kinds of food on Qiangmen Street, you almost taste all Chinese food.

Of course, there are so many other cities worth to visit, and every place has its only charaters. However, with only one day, I think Beijing is the best one, and it can bring you more surprise.
