In modern society, it is the ways how people pursue their individual interests in stead of contributions to the large society are concerned more importantly by most people. Almost every successful person has his or her legends. However, as human are social animals, their individual legends must connect to the social improvement. That is to say, the contribution to the society should be considered more.

We may find there are so many people who made contribution to the society that most of them are forgotten by the society. The ones being remembered must have distinguishing legends during the way they pursue their interests. In Formula One, the highest car racing championship in the world, the famous one must be the driver who won the championship, or the champion team leader and the Executive Director of Engineering, because they have legends which are enthused about by the car fans in their leisure time. However, the most important champion maker is the team workers who almost be forgotten. They made the champion car for the driver so that he could win the race. We must see this clearly through the transfer of two times world champion Fernando Alonso, who is a very good driver and became famous for defeating the most successful man--Michael Schumacher. He leave Renault, the team helped him winning, after gained two times championship. When he came back after only one year, he could never even be the top three during the season. The team legends men--leader and Executive Director of Engineering are still the ones the year before. But there are so many workers leaved with him when he leaves the team. So, however perfect legends and abilities Alonso has, he can never be success without the help of the contribution made by ordinary workers. From that example, we may clearly find out that there are so many people who made contribution behind one man's success, society cannot remember them all because they have no legends in the way of pursue their individual interests. To be successful, a person must have his or her special way to pursue their interests.

However, can we just say that the one with special way to pursue their individual interests are a successful man or woman? No, we must also learn whether he or she made contribution to the society, or the society may be disordered. Let us take Hitler for example, he definitely has a special way to pursue his individual interests and almost succeed for his effort and his interest is so unusual and idiosyncratic that leads millions of people dead for it. Hitler is concerned as sinner other than successful man because he gave the society no contribution but a lot of harm. If we only measure the success with pursuing one's individual interests, our society would have a lot of Hitlers rather than the ones have no legends but contributions. We should not make it happen.

In the end, the contribution and the special ways to pursuing their individual interests are all important. The one should be considered first is the former rather than the latter because human progressing is the most important in the society.
