Topic: Movies and televisions have more positive or negative effects on young people's behaviors.

As we know ,everything has two sides,the positive one and the negative one ,and so do the mass medium, movies and televisions.My perspective is that although it brings bad influence to young people's behaviors to some degree, media sets good models for youths and gives them psychological enlightenment in order to make them positive.

Admittedly, movies and televisions mislead the young's behaviors,especially the group who are in the stage of having no discretion and immaturity.In other words, it is pretty possible that young people imitate some certain action of the actor or actress which is absolutely objected . As the immature do not possess the ability to tell the right from wrong and they are disposed to imitate things and people around , the negative scenes of movies become their behavior model. To illustrate, the scene of smoking could be an apt example to this point. In the movie , it is so common to see a successful person holds a cigarette in his mouth while he is contemplating.This cool posture and mysterious taste of cigarette attract the children to attempt and finally they indulge in smoking.

However,the valuable guide of media to young's action carries more weight than its minor disadvantage.Movies set high ethical and moral standards to youth. The contents sometimes praise a hero's brave spirit or some experts' enthusiasm and concentration on work and sometimes educate people what they should and shoul't do in daily life .Then educated boys will deal with things in terms of what they are taught and remind themselves avoid the wrong things.For example, I once watched a film which depicted water exhausting in a village because of wasting and pollution. The scene of arid farmland gave me very deep and unforgettable impression . From then on ,I have been advocating my family and college students to save water and take action to recycle it .  

Not only does the media set good examples to us youths but it has the function of making children behave actively. The reason is showed below. Movies always act as a entertainment method ,so it can relieve children's study pressure.In other words, watching a film gives the children an outlet to vent their depression. For example, while enjoying movies,no matter comedies or tragedies , through laughing and crying ,people express their emotion and feel relax. Then all complaint and dissatisfaction will escape and children will behave positively . In contrast, if the children always feel depressed and blue, they would act negatively and cannot handle things well.  

In conclusion, inevitably, mess media has certain shortcoming in directing the young's behavior ,however, I strongly maintain that it brings more positive influence to children's action

典型的先抑后扬的写法，结构清楚，每一点都很透彻，看完了觉得扬的第二点也不偏题，只是楼主似乎认为young people 和children是一个概念，所以有时就用children来代替young people。呵呵，我们都算是young people吧，可大概没人承认自己还是children.
另外，时间紧张，每个点又着墨不少，所以不小心犯的拼写错误比较多点。我自己的作文也有这个毛病。一起进步哈。

呵呵，应该的，大家一起进步。
关于advocate这个词，确实没见过advocate sb to do这个用法的，一般是用advocate sth.或者advocate doing sth.
