With the development of Internet, cable TV and radio system, combined with some advanced information technologies, the mass media become more and more comprehensive, updated and influential. Along with this phenomenon rises a hot debate over whether it is hard to know which one is more trusted. As far as I am concerned, since the large quantity of news and intensified competition, the mass media would not be easily believed in.
First and foremost, the larger the quantity of the news, the more inferior their quality will be. According to the latest China Daily, the media companies in China have increased by 70% over the last 30 years. Obvious among which would be those numerous Internet companies, such as Sohu, Sina and Baidu. Now, our Chinese people obtain the greatest amount and easiest accessibility of those continuously updated news. However, the media often bear different and even entirely divergent opinions and statements in one issue. The latest Tibetan violent collision can shed some lights on this point. Being totally different from the truth, which broadcasted by CCTV, some famous western media, like CNN and BBC, use some high-tech tools to paraphrase falcify(背错单词了,把paraphrase背成篡改的意思了) the news and pictures. While facing this, hardly can western people keep sober and find the truth covered by those confusing news.
Subsequently, the increasingly intense competition is another important reason. In order to survive in this cruel game, these interest-driven mass media sometimes cheated, especially some entertainment ones. For the sake of attracting eyeballs, some entertainment media made news by their own. Hypothetically, one big star in Hollywood divorced with his wife 5 days after the marriage; nevertheless, this couple is making their gorgeous love story.
Admittedly, there are some news that can be trusted. For example, a journalist had a hard time convincing an assistant of a tobacco company to reveal how the executive of the company to commit perjury about the effect of nicotine in 1990s. His behavior made the public know clearly operation of the tobacco company and the peril of cigarette so as to arouse their health awareness. However compared with countless other news, the trusted are just the tip of an iceberg.
In a nutshell, since the increasing number of media and the intense competition in this industry, we should keep sober in front of those news and take advantage of our experience and intelligence to analyze whether they are false or true.(谁知道这里真伪用一个名词的话应该用哪个?)

While facing this, hardly can western people keep sober and find the truth covered by those confusing newslz的例子很好,但是前面说internet,后面怎么变成tv station了?而且你中间有句话,The latest Tibetan violent collision can shed some lights on this point给人的感觉是,后面的具体实例应该对应前面的).

Subsequently, the increasingly intense competition is another important reason. In order to survive in this cruel game, these interest-driven mass media sometimes cheated, especially in some entertainment ones. For the sake of attracting eyeballs, some entertainment media madefaked news by their own.
