148) Do you agree or disagree that progress is always good? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

进步总是好的，同意与否？（185，技术与进步类）

When it comes to the question whether progress is always good. Views vary from divergent people. Some people think that enhancement should be always good. But other have an opposite attitude. From my point of view, I believe that progress is not always good. This question should be discussed by two opposed perspectives.

On one hand, progress benefits humans in every aspects. With the gradual evolution of society and technology, humans life has made  significant progress. In terms of science and technology, a great change took place in humans life. Automobile, for example, makes transportation more fast and easy. The use of car makes it feasible to spend less time in transfering from one place to another. Recently, with the improvement of technology, hydro-driven automobile has been invented, which is fueled with hydrogen. This will make cars more environmental-friendly. Electricity renders humans life more convenient. Human also apply electricity to industry production and daily daily. In the medical field, in the past several decades, a great amout of inventions and discoveries engendered. They made great contribution to humans life. The invention of penicillin, saved innumerous lives in the clinical study. There are a huge number of examples tesify merits of the progress. Therefore, taking into account of the benefits from the progress, the progress is good.

On the other hand, as we all know, every sword has two sides. Not only did progress bring about the virtues, but also contributed to disavantages. One of the most tough problems that humans face is the environmental pollution. Humans sacrificed the environment, which they depend on, for economical progress. The use of car, for instance, post a serious threat to humans life. It is mainly responsible to air pollution. In addition, the invention of mobilephone, improve significantly the way of communication. however, it severely threatens to the health of humans life. Scientists have pointed out that by observation, the radiation caused by the mobilephone, is so harmful for humans life that it may lead to some potential diseases. Also, the occurrance of Internet, triggered a series of social problems. Criminals may make use of the Internet to do crime.such as financial crmes, computer virus and so forth. msotly seriously, the Internet has a negative Influence on adolescence. More and more juvenile may show the tendency of crimal throughout the Internet.   Thereby, it can be said that from other perspective, progress causes demerits to humans.

In conclusion, progress is indeed a sword with two sides.  As the proverb goes well, no garden has no weeds. Hense, we can say that progress is not alway good.
