Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The next twenty years from now on, students will not use printed books any more. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.留
Nowadays, the influent (influences) of advanced technology, such as Internet, personal computer, proves to be profound. And there has been a very controversial debate as to whether or not new technique will replace the traditional printed books as the main source of information for students to use (建议删除to use,与前面意思重复) in twenty years. I say, no matter how technology is improved, the traditional books would never be replaced because of its several unsubstantiated advantages.
People in favor of the modern technologies always provide the following evidence. Firstly, in history, we can see that every new technology brings about great changes to people life, from steam engine to electric machine. So as the computer technology, which offers people more methods than printed books to get knowledge? Secondly, modern technology like computers is another great invention that can store a huge amount of date, which common books can hardly compare with. And at the same time, people are able to process the date more rapidly and accurately than we can ever imagine. If this trend keep growing, two decades later, probably no one, especial the students, is willing to use the printed books.
Conversely, as for the merits of traditional information source, the printed books have its indelible predominance(s). In the first place, the history of human civilization is a written history. It has never been changed in past thousands (of)years, and definitely won't be transferred no matter in twenty years, two hundred years, or even two thousand years(你的意思是千年之后还会printed books,我认为此观点过于绝对,可以删除,或者弱化). Secondly, it is more comfortable than watching screen that people are free to choose any posture and place that make them comfortable while reading the printed books. Besides, the computer screen will emit radial which is a hazard to people's eyes, especially to the young students who need to study for up to eight hours a day. Unlike the screen, the books are harmless to our body, which should be encouraged for students to use. Finally, traditional information sources like books are relatively stable and reliable to preserve the information well. If the educational dates in teachers' or students' computers are destroyed, or the school's electric power is broken, the normal education can not be continued. Fortunately, this thing can not happened in printed books.
Although the modern technologies have many advantages which printed books could hardly compare with, I still insist that, in the future, students will also use the traditional books as main source of information for studying knowledge.
