I think no matter where you are, and whatever you are doing, there are always different challenges and tough tests from life whether you accept them or not. one of the most powerful cognitive thinking ability I learned from psychology is always be aware of the 'problems' -- distinct those catastrophic thoughts from the self from external events, and never let your negative emotions be part of the problems. after all, life is tough in someway we may not like it, we stilll need to be tougher in order to go over them. soo.. add oil and pray for a little.

欧陆cs选校
不确定未来发展方向，读博or回国工作都可以
美研经济学跳板硕择校
415将近，昨天晚上刚收到了杜克wl的拒信，看来只能马上做决定了
目前以后还是想读博，剩下的五个项目感觉各有优势，所以还是想看看大家的意见
目前我了解到的信息都在下面了：
NYU MAE
pros：地理位置好，学校title很高，综排专排都很出色，选课相对自由，可以选Courant的课，也可以选修高级经济学课程。写邮件问了一下项目负责人，还是有RA相关机会的。
cons：授课老师基本上都是外聘的，质量可能参差不齐？而且外聘老师居多的话到时候拿推荐信什么的可能也更麻烦？size 60-90，有点偏大。学费贵，纽约生活成本也高
Penn State MAE
pros：授课老师就是博导同一批人，允许选修博士课程，项目负责人回信说size大概10-15人，感觉挺好的。学费便宜，生活成本也更低
cons：似乎不太支持MA学生做RA，而且psu综排略低
UW Madison MSE
pros：老牌经济学跳板项目了，读博方面没得说。经济学专排非常好，师资力量有保障。计量课非常多，利好实证研究，也可以选修博士课程
cons：看官网数据近几年size也太大了，有几年甚至超过了100人，资源竞争会很激烈。而且课程设置灵活度也比较低
Tufts MSE
pros：给了70%的学费减免，成本很低。size也挺小的，互动高。选修课可以选数学系的实分析。
cons：tufts的专排综排都平平，而且要想读两年的research base的话还得先读完第一年再说。本校没有econ的phd，选修课往上没得博士课程选，要么选别的学院的要么选本科生课。
Georgetown MSE
新项目，不同于另一个MAE，感觉网上资料有限。
pros：size比较小，MSE和隔壁MAE加起来差不多三四十个人。官网说经济系和GCER给MSE学生有专门的暑期RA项目。
cons：官网直接说不可以上博士生课程，算是把这条路封死了。不过官网提供的选修课列表里又有高微和高宏。还有就是学费是这些项目里最贵的，每学分2452?两年读完要11万+
总之现在真的很纠结，感觉各有各的好，想听听大家的意见。如果大家投票的时候还能分享一下理由就更好了，提前谢谢各位！
统计学欧美混申选校
背景：互联网数据分析工作5年后申请硕士，优先级，当地找工 > 专业匹配度 > 继续读博 > 学校名气。
自己筛了一波后剩下2所学校，想大家帮忙给一些建议。
一、【?? 伊利诺伊大学香槟分校 - 预测分析和风险管理】
Pros:
1. 项目是1.5年，时间长度对我来说刚刚好；
2. 带CO-OP（带薪实习），实习工资倒是其次，主要是能提前感受境外职场，可能对找工会有帮助？
3. 美国学历整体认可度更高一些，即使最后回国学历方面应该优于荷兰；
4. 项目是统计系和商学院合办，听说选课相对自由，可以自己多选统计系的课程，是否能选计算机的不太清楚。
Cons:
1. 美国居留政策过于不友好，虽然是STEM专业，但还是需要抽签；
2. 项目内容更偏金融和精算，至少需要修1/3的相关学分，我对这块兴趣实在是不大，与自己过去的职业路径联系也不太紧密，不过也不是非常排斥；
3. 学费+生活成本略高于荷兰，不过由于是公立学校也不是非常贵，这点倒是可以忽略不计；
4. 学校在大农村，就读体验可能一般。
二、【?? 莱顿大学 - 统计学与数据科学】
Pros:
1. 正统的统计学项目，课程体系比较完善；
2. 可以自由选择计算机系的课程；
3. 项目有利于读博，学校官方给的数据是50%+的学生毕业后会选择继续深造（也不知道算不算优点）；
4. 荷兰居留政策相对确定，不需要抽签（但近几年找工难度也在上升）；
5. 就读体验应该会非常好，莱顿是个静谧小城，整个学校的氛围也不错。
Cons:
1. 项目2-2.5年毕业，时间有点长；
2. 莱顿不支持学生企业实习，作为国际生毕业后直接找工可能会有些难度；
3. 莱顿在欧洲虽然有些名气，但回国认可度是个问题；
4. 荷兰工资水平整体还是要低美国很多。
美国宾大or荷兰莱顿？考古专业
宾大读完最低可能也要80w，莱顿大学读完大概在40–50w之间？ 宾大综合排名高，藤校title香，但是莱顿大学考古专业排名高，认可度也很不错，而且是研究型硕士两年制的，可能读博希望比较大？有润的打算。有点迷茫，80w确实可能得贷款留学了??不知道大家有没有什么建议
