Potpourri  这个东西也出现过，joey的那个dancer rommie就做过这个东西，基本就是碎花什么还是干花，剪碎放在一个玻璃盆或是碗里面，joey闻了一下说it’s like a summer in a bow~~ mulch不见得能和potpourri是一对搭配，但是这两个都有“碎”的意思，只是一个比较脏一个很fragment；

Prime  首要的，主要的，优质的，上乘的；这些意思其实大家都熟悉，但是这里joey用了一个in someone’s prime，表示盛年，年富力强，鼎盛时期；google字典里面有一个例句叫a young woman in her prime，表示妙龄女郎，joey对这个句子应该很熟悉的。此外，擎天柱optimus prime，也是这个词，

Rachel: She is so good at throwing drinks in people’s faces, I mean I don’t think I’ve ever seen her finish a beverage.

简单情节如下：
大家一起玩游戏，列举50个州的名字；罗斯说这易如反掌，结果因为这个游戏，他错过了感恩节的晚餐。钱德和莫妮卡发现菲比藏了一只狗到他们家；原来钱德怕狗。瑞秋邀Tag共进感恩节晚餐。Tag正因和女友分手的事而沮丧不已。瑞秋不知道该以朋友的身份安慰他，还是趁机下手。最后她决定只是当他的朋友，可她的秘密计划却经乔伊的口暴露出来。

Rachel: All right, I got 48.
Chandler: Oh that's not bad, Pheebs?
Phoebe: Oh, I got tired of naming states. So I decided to list the types of celery, and I have one: regular celery.
Chandler: Okay, so Rachel's got 48 and Phoebe has the lead in…vegetables, Joey?

Celery  芹菜。这个词和salary真的很像，特别是读音。我自己以为这里是用这个来做个笑料：如果要列举各种收入，除了“正常/普通”收入，那还有啥收入？^^

Ross: Done! With time a-to-spare.
Chandler: Oooh that may be a New World's record (Looks at his watch and picks up Ross' pad)
Ross: You know, I hate to lecture you guys, but it's kinda disgraceful, that a group of well-educated adults and Joey can't name all the states. Did you ever see a map, or one of those round, colorful things called "a globe?" Hmm?

钱德答应去Tulsa市工作，莫妮卡也答应随他去……这时她得到在纽约工作的天赐良机。最后他们协议，每星期钱德在Tulsa工作四天，回纽约陪莫妮卡三天。乔伊和菲比计划互为对方做媒，然后两对一起约会。乔伊差点忘干净了，临时从咖啡馆里抓了个生人去。菲比察觉，很生乔伊的气。但这个硬拉来的壮丁原来很可爱，他再度约会菲比，菲比答应了。瑞秋惹恼了儿科医生，只得为爱玛另寻高明。当她向罗斯和莫妮卡童年时的Gettleman医生求助时，却发现罗斯至今仍在找Gettleman医生看病。

Monica: Oh, maybe he was getting him confused with his childhood therapist.
Chandler: He saw a therapist?
Monica: Yeah, he used to have this recurring nightmare, just really freaked him out.

前两天翻红宝  看到repel 觉得很眼熟。。。但是想不起来自己在哪见过的。。。后来看the One with All the Other Ones  才想起来。。。Ross 跟 Joey 说 we do not repel women... ;P

Fascinated  入迷的；极感兴趣的very interested; 说实话我不太明白chandler这里是啥意思~~

Chandler: Yes, on a scale from 1 to 10, 10being the dumbest a person can look, you are definitely 19.

Commute上下班往返，经常往返（于两地）；这个词专指性很强，有可能不好理解。但是看它的衍生communication，就知道，信息的交流一般都是往返很多的，说一句话就没回音的，我们也不叫沟通交流了。用commute的时候一定要注意这种重复性。

Monica: No, Ross, we do not hate Emily. We-we just, we just think that you're having to sacrifice a whole lot to make her happy.
Joey: Yeah!
Chandler: Look, we just think that maybe she's being a little unreasonable.

Ross的这段话说的蛮有道理的，所以剩下的那几个人都无言应答。

Phoebe: Okay, let's get some perspective people; it's not like I'm wearing a seeing-eye dog coat!

Perspective  全面的观点，透视法；这个词这些翻译意思真的很不好理解，但是结合上下语境我们可以大概理解为，phoebe说ross看问题别太偏激。“不要因为我穿了一个皮大衣就鄙视我好不好？我穿的又不是导盲犬做的大衣？”这很明显是强词夺理，但是她用perspective来表达的意思就是：“你别看到一点就开始攻击我“的意思。引申也就是全面客观的分析问题的态度；
