Argument33
"The discovery of distinctively shaped ceramic pots at various prehistoric sites scattered over a wide area has led archaeologists to ask how the pots were
spread. Some believe the pot makers migrated to the various sites and carried the pots along with them; others believe the pots were spread by trade and
their makers remained in one place. Now, analysis of the bones of prehistoric human skeletons can settle the debate: high levels of a certain metallic
element contained in various foods are strongly associated with people who migrated to a new place after childhood. Many of the bones found near the pots at
a few sites showed high levels of the metallic element. Therefore, it must be that the pots were spread by migration, not trade."

Some researchers believe that the ceramic pots distinctively shaped at various sites were spread by the migration of the makers, not trade. To validate their
standpoint,he also states the analysis of the bones found near the pots at a few sites showed high levels of a certain metallic element which contained in
various foods and strongly associated with people who migrated to a new place after childhood. At first glance, the conclusion seems to be correct, however,a
close scrutiny of these evidences reveals none of them would lead a convincing support for the conclusion.

Most obviously, before drawing the final conclusion, the arguer assumes that the bones found near the pots belong to the owners of the pots
definitely, however, there are no cogent evidence to sustain his assumption.Perhaps, the bones are not contemporary with the pots or the bones were left by
explorers several hundred years later, rendering it has nothing to do with the pots' owners, let alone the makers.Even if the bones are from the pots'
owners, the fact that the owners equal the makers is still dubious. And it is entirely possible that the makers manufactured these distinctively shapes
pots, sold them to merchants then the merchants transported them to a wide area and these merchants lost their lifes in the half of way accidentally. In a
word, unless there are evidence confirming the origin of the bones,it is hasty to draw any persuasive conclusion from it.

On the second place, the result that the bones found near the pots in high levels of a certain metallic element indicates the owners must migrate to a new
place after childhood is open to be questionable as well. The possibility that movement of earth or significant climate change had led the increase of amount
of this metallic element can not be ruled out, therefore offsetting the assumption of chemical analysis.

Last but not least,it is stated that the pots were found near the pots at a few sites, few are there substantiations to justify the sites where bones were
found are adequately representative for the entire locations especially in the case of the pots being scattered over a wide area.To soldify the arguer's
claim, more widely and comprehensively researches are required before reducing the conclusion.

To sum up,the argument is not persuasive as it stands from several aspects. To solidify his standpoint, the arguer should present more substantial facts to
prove that the bones near the pots do belong to the pots' makers.Furthermore,in order to better assess his conclusion,we need be informed more
information concerning that the high levels of the metallic element are able to verify it is caused by migration.
