"Most societies do not take their greatest thinkers seriously, even when they claim to admire them."
很多社会并不重视思想家，即使社会宣称很景仰这些思想家。
提纲：部分肯定
1、思想家定义为：有思想体系的人，包括哲学家，理论家和学者，不能简单说不重视
2、哲学家思想比较深刻，同时代的人可能理解不了。举：苏格拉底例子说明。
3、自然科学家 的发现 需要长时间来验证，所以不能被重视。举：哥白尼
4、对于那些发明能够容易验证的，同时代就可以得到大众的尊重。比如：袁隆平
5、结论：不能轻易下结论，应看是否能被别人接受 或被轻易验证。


With his definition as the person who has a well-developed faculty for thinking as a philosopher, theorist, or scholar, the thinker includes philosopher, physician and other people. Although I insofar agree with the assertion that greatest thinker are not always treated importantly in most of societies(paraphase得不错), even people of(in) that era advocate their thoughts, different kinds of people reflect different situations.

One reason for my fundamental agree with(结构有点乱呢) the speaker is that many of the great philosophers whose thoughts penetrate superficial views that common people hold are not easily understood by the populace, which will lead to the indifference from the masses. Most of the thoughts hold by great philosophers exceeded their decades. Socrates, a Classical Greek philosopher, is renowned for Socratic Method or method of ‘elenchus’,which he largely applied to the examination of key moral concepts such as theGood and Justice and he was followed by many young . But he was suspicious(suspected,我觉得直接被动就可以了) by many of his contemporaries, who thought he is a Sophist and was sentence to death(我觉得这句感觉上有点问题,可以尝试改一下who thought him a Sophist,我也不是太清楚这样改对不对,你最好再查下书). Such kinds of examples exist very common(commonly), which prove that philosophers are not easily comprehended by others.

Another reason why I essentially agree with the speaker is that the inventions of great thinkers in natural sciences need long time to be confirmed after the extensive accumulation of data and proof. The great scientists must endure the test of time and will not revere by populace. NicolausCopernicus is best known for his heliocentric system which is the astronomical theory that the sun is at rest near the center of the universe. His prediction was substantiated by Galileo who invented the telescope in 1609. Thus,the masses cannot take the great thinkers seriously most of the time due to the times and limited technology development.

Nonetheless, without accounting for other possibilities that the invention can be justified on timely, the author cannot assert that some great thinkers are not taken seriously. Like Yuan longping, a Chinese agriculture scientist, is known for developing the first hybrid rice varieties which provides a robust food source in high famine risk areas in Africa,America, and Asia. His achievement as a victory over the threat of famine andusher us into a world with ample food and himself is honored as “The Father of Hybrid Rice”. Great thinkers, whose inventions which can be confirmed easily or tested are very simply to accept by the contemporaries, are respected by the common people.(这段结构很好,总分总)

In sum, the speaker’s claim ignores the standards which are using(used) to decide whether the populace can accept their thoughts or their discoveries are attested easily. When it can be easily accepted,they will be respected by the populace; otherwise, they will be resisted or outraged.

文章真的很不错哦,特别是语言,如果是在45分钟写出来的话,那就无敌了.用词语法都很不错,只是有些长句可能前后指代不明,建议稍微改一下.

其实可以考虑把最后一段的观点提前到第一段,这样要好些,毕竟最后一段不是很重要,应该把重要的观点尽量提前.
