High schools, universities and colleges should spend less time teaching about general subjects and spend more time teaching about preparing for future career and jobs.

As the development of the society, more and more competition are showing up in our daily life. As an old saying knowledge is power, students chased more knowledge in variety of fields before they enter society. And one of the most important ways to assimilate knowledge is schools, universities and colleges. For the educators, they should have perfect plan for students to enrich their mind, so they have option here, general subjects for knowledge background or particular courses for future career? From my perspective, a good educator should make the choice based on their aim of education.

Firstly, high schools should spend more time teaching about general subjects. The objects of the education in high schools should be to raise students' basic living ability and to form normal personal characteristics. To get these objects, it is necessary to teach students general subjects, such as language, mathematics, history and so forth, which are inevitable knowledge of their entire life. Besides, the period in high schools possibly is choice time for students when they think more about their future career and jobs. Therefore, teachers should spend more time teaching about general subjects for building up a necessary background of their future. And at the same time, the students could find their trend of interesting through learning wide (broad, extensive) knowledge.

Comparing with high schools, there are more tasks for educators to do in universities and colleges where the students become enter the society. After preparing knowledge background, students in colleges have more obvious opinion of their future, which is also the reason why they choose different major there. No matter what will they do after universities, either continuing to study or starting their career, they already have their clear direction about future. Therefore, as educators in university, they should not only offer more choice in courses to students, but also make the course more concretely.

To sum up, according to their different educational objects, high schools and universities have different emphases of education. High schools should spend more time teaching about general subjects, while universities and colleges should do their best to teaching about preparing for future career and jobs.

In university, students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in

I agree with the point that students should take the history courses no matter what field they study in.
1, learning history could raise the race honor of the students, which is very important to the development of the whole society.
2, taking the history courses could improve their study in their major by absorbing the failure lessons and success experience.


University students should be required to take basic science classes even they are not part of the field of the study.

In my opinion, university students should be required to take basic science classes even they are not part of the field of the study.
First of all, knowledge of basic science is the least condition of lead a life in the society. Without these knowledge, an individual could make some mistakes which could lead themselves into dilemma.
Moreover, taking basic science classes could benefit their study in their own majors since there always are some illuminations from other field.
Besides, learning basic science is helpful for students to build a healthy and logical way of thinking, which could be useful to both their life and their career.
